they just buffed magic in the recent patch, never messed with pyromancy too much but a friend says it's pretty legit, thing is with magic/faith/pyro builds is that a lot of the GOAT stuff is very hidden and late game so you don't feel OP until then, you can respec your char up to 5 times anyway, quite a few OP weapons to carry you early game.

Yea surprised how many souls you get per enemy. Levelled up from 8 to 15 in one go

think I finished the game around lvl 95, you can get items that increase the souls you get, but you will also be spending tons of souls on items too most likely, some of the best armor you get from merchants, upgrades, etc

Need to get a good ranged weapon asap. This axe atm is too limited

Met those NPC merchants. prices too high imo.

Just to be sure. You travel from the castle bornfire right? can't see any other way apart from that

???

you use bonfires for a lot of stuff in this, mostly fast traversal/checkpoints, although 99% of areas are linked

That place where you put the sword in to create bornfire. Then travel to some random place.

firelink shrine is the hub yeah, you gotta travel to castle lothric at the start which I can assume you've already done, after that you can travel from bonfire to bonfire, worth going back to firelink shrine quite often (after bosses/encounters) though since NPC's turn up there a lot

wat

you mean equipment weight load that dictates roll speed? keep it under 70% to roll normally, onyl stuff you have equipped count towards it

you need to put stats into uh, I think it's VIT, you can also get rings that boost how much you can have as you progress

I used Assassin as my starting class and I had it difficult early in the game, I was used to Knight or Warrior in the predecessors (because of the high strength). I'm focusing on endurance and strength mostly. Level 36 and I'm in Farron Keep. My favorite kinds of weapons are longswords and great-swords, although I don't rule out hammers/great-hammers too, because of the high strength.
