A nice summary by the ECHO of the greatest transfer spree for us in a decade with the addition of Luis Suarez & Andy Carroll in Winter. .

IN

JORDAN HENDERSON

Age: 21

From: Sunderland

Fee: £16m

The England Under-21 international was Kenny Dalglish’s first signing of the summer as the Reds moved ahead of Mancheseter City and Arsenal to get their man.

A versatile and energetic performer, the Wearsider has settled in on Merseyside, and scored his first Liverpool goal in the recent win over Bolton.

CHARLIE ADAM

Age: 25

From: Blackpool

Fee: £6.75m

Liverpool had to wait six months to get their man, having failed in a bid to sign the Scotland midfielder back in January.

Adam’s range of passing and accuracy from set-pieces have already been in evidence at Anfield, where he has formed a promising partnership with Lucas Leiva.

STEWART DOWNING

Age: 27

From: Aston Villa

Fee: £20m

A winger of pace and guile, Downing snubbed advances from Arsenal to join Liverpool, having been heavily linked with the club back in 2008.

Eyebrows were raised at the fee paid for the former Middlesbrough man, but his performances since his arrival have quietened the doubters significantly.

ALEXANDER DONI

Age: 31

From: Roma

Fee: Free

A Brazilian international, Doni arrived at Anfield to provide competition for first-choice goalkeeper Pepe Reina.

He will hope to avoid following in the footsteps of forgotten understudies Patrice Luzi, Pegguy Arphexad, Daniele Padelli, Charles Itandje, Diego Cavalieri and Brad Jones.

JOSE ENRIQUE

Age: 25

From: Newcastle United

Fee: £5.5m

Another long-time target of the Reds, the Spanish full-back sealed his switch to Anfield early in time for the new season, and has not looked back since.

Pacy, composed and solid in defence, the former Villarreal looks like he will nail down what has been a problematic position for Liverpool in recent years.

SEBASTIAN COATES

Age: 21

From: Nacional.

Fee: £7m

A towering central defender who helped Uruguay to glory in the Copa America, Coates was persuaded by friend Luis Suarez to snub Manchester City and Atletico Madrid in favour of a move to Anfield.

CRAIG BELLAMY

Age: 32

From: Manchester City.

Fee: Free

The Welshman made a shock return to Liverpool late last night. Signed by Rafa Benitez for £6m from Blackburn in 2006. Scored nine goals in 42 appearances before moving to West Ham for £7.5million. Could prove a valuable and experienced part of Kenny Dalglish’s new-look squad.

OUT

PAUL PFK

To: Leicester City. Fee: £1.5m

A remnant of the ill-fated Roy Hodgson era, left-back PFK was offloaded to Sven-Goran Eriksson’s ambitious Championship.

SOTIRIOS KYRGIAKOS

To: VFL Wolfsburg. Fee: Free

The Greek defender did a job at Anfield, but was never likely to survive Kenny Dalglish’s squad reshape. A free transfer to Germany suited all parties.

DANIEL AYALA

To: Norwich City. Fee: £850,000

A promising talent, but had fallen way down the Anfield pecking order. Paul Lambert’s newly-promoted Canaries could prove an ideal environment for the 20-year-old.

EMILIANO INSUA

To: Sporting Lisbon. Fee: Undisclosed

The Argentine left-back was once a bright prospect at the club, but lost his way after a promising debut campaign.

CHRIS MAVINGA

To: Rennes. Fee: £1m

A talented French U20 star, Mavinga failed to make the grade after his move from PSG in 2009.

THOMAS INCE

To: Blackpool. Fee: Undisclosed

The winger, son of former Anfield star Paul, completed his move to Ian Holloway’s side, having spent part of last season on loan at Notts County.

GERARDO BRUNA

To: Blackpool. Fee: Free.

Another promising talent who never reached his full potential, the ex-Real Madrid forward also went to Blackpool.

NABIL EL ZHAR

To: Levante. Fee: Free

The first Moroccan to play for the Reds, El Zhar struggled to hold down a regular place.

MILAN JOVANOVIC

To: Anderlecht. Fee: Free

A year after arriving on a free transfer from Standard Liege, ‘The Snake’ was off back to Belgium.

CHRISTIAN POULSEN

To: Evian. Fee: Undisclosed

Another who failed to shine after arriving at Anfield last summer, the Dane made just 21 appearances.

DAVID NGOG

To: Bolton. Fee: £4m

A £1.5m signing who provided value for money during some difficult times. The 22-year-old striker was never likely to usurp Andy Carroll, Luis Suarez or Dirk Kuyt in Dalglish’s starting line-up.

JOE COLE

To: Lille. Fee: loan

The former England international heads for France after a miserable first year at Anfield following his arrival from Chelsea.

ALBERTO AQUILANI

To: AC Milan. Fee: loan

The Italian returned home and Milan will buy him on a permanent basis once he’s made 25 appearances.

DANIEL PACHECO

To: Rayo Vallecano. Fee: loan

The 20-year-old Spaniard went on a season-long loan to Atletico Madrid, but he was immediately loaned to Rayo Vallecano.

STEPHEN DARBY

To: Rochdale. Fee: loan

The Academy graduate will spend the season with League One Rochdale.

PETER GULACSI

To: Hull City. Fee: loan

The Hungarian will gain experience at the KC Stadium.

RAUL MEIRELES

To: Chelsea. Fee: £12m

SHOCK last-minute deal saw the Portugal midfielder leave Anfield for Chelsea after just a season.

Nishank does this nicely everytime but found this article & could not help but share. . Thumbs up

Cheers to all us fans & staff for pulling off two great transfer windows! !

We have signed by far one of our best back-up goalkeepers in the last decade...i'm very happy for that....Only Dudek was a better back-up for Reina during his first two season.

Doni is reflexive machine.....By far proceeds the likes of Itandje, Jones, Cavalieri, and Scott Carson
