Premier League - Chelsea vs Stoke City

Premier League Matchday 30 sees Chelsea welcome former player Mark Hughes' Stoke City to Stamford Bridge, the pair both on the back of solid seasons and both seeking a returning 3 points as the Premier League kicks off once again following the fortnight's hiatus for the international break.













The reverse fixture in December yielded a 2-0 victory to the visitors on the back of one of their better performances of the last few months, through goals either side of the break from John Terry and Cesc Fàbregas.










The corresponding fixture in January last term ended much the same way, with the Blues running out 3-0 winners on the day courtesy of goals from Mohamed Salah, Frank Lampard, and Willian.










The pair obtained contrasting results the matchweek before in their respectivr fixtures. Chelsea triumphed over a resilient Hull City 3-2 in a cagey affair ultimately decided late on by a Loic Remy goal from off the bench, while Stoke were handed a home defeat at the hands of Alan Pardiola's soaring Eagles of Crystal Palace.










Jonathon Moss, who last officiated for Chelsea in their 1-0 home victory over Everton in February and for Stoke in their 3-0 thumping at the hands of Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in January, has been appointed referee for Saturday's affair.

Class Eden penno, we've taken lead in all recent games only to finish level..... All to play for still.

a little bummed to give away such a goal (brilliant goal, but still). Caught courtois off guard, he may have got a slightest of touch on the ball.

He did, we lost focus after we thought Hazard got fouled.

Absolutely massive win. Remy to the rescue again, the legend. One game closer.

Hazard is on another level. Willian was pretty good today aswell. Remy what a legend

Remy saving us from a draw again. Happy to have this lad on our team. He's showing Liverpool that they made a mistake on not signing him.
