Azerbaijan: Agayev - Mirzabekov, Hüseynov, Sadygov, Pashayev - Amirguliyev - Ismaylov, C. Hüseynov, Richard, Nazarov - Qurbanov
We need to mention Javid Hüseynov, the Qabala KF midfielder who's starting today.
2 years ago, Hüseynov had caused controversy by celebrating a goal vs Greek-Cypriot club Lemesos waving around a Turkish flag.
Afterwards, he had made offensive gestures towards journalists asking about the incident.
As a consequence, Rasim Alijev, a well-known Azerbaijan journalist, made a facebook post critizising Hüseynov, calling him "ill-bred" and "immoral" and saying that he did not want to be represented on the world's football pitches by such a player.
Hüseynov contacted Alijev, setting a date for a meet in which to 'reconcile', instead sending six thugs who beat Alijev to death.
Hüseynov was senteced to 4 years in prison for his role in the murder, yet after 14 months he was released and set free without a reason given.
He since has played for the Azerbaidjan NT again.
So tonight, a murderer will be playing, who should rightfully be in jail.
This is a TV news clip about the case which also has surveillance footage of the murder, but it is in German and possibly can't be viewed without GErman IP address.

Re: World Cup 2018 Qualifiers Discussion
Great to have Egypt at the WC

About time, I might add.
Meanwhile in Kaiserslautern, Azerbaijan equalize after Mustafi pulls a thigh muscle. So after half an hour, now 2/3 of our three man defense had to be exchanged, with Rüdiger and Ginter on for the injured Süle and Mustafi.
Mustafi's injury however surely great news for both Germany and Arsenal.
The guy has been absolutely awful since his Arsenal move.

Latest @Argentina XI for tomorrow in Quito: Romero; Mercado, Fazio, Otamendi; Rigoni, Biglia, Mascherano, Di Maria; Papu, Messi; Benedetto
— Peter Coates (@golazoargentino) October 10, 2017
Tomorrow is going to be insane. CONEMBOL is lit. Any of Argentina, Peru, Colombia, and Chile can get eliminated or qualify.

Re: World Cup 2018 Qualifiers Discussion
I think Argentina definitely goes through. They will play the game of their lives. Same thing happened in 2010 when it looked really likely they were not gonna qualify and then Martin Palermo scored the winner.
I have Argentina winning. Chile draw. Paraguay win. Peru win. Uruguay win.
1. Brazil
2. Uruguay
3. Peru
4. Argentina
5. Chile
Paraguay has -5 GD so they finish 6th unless they win 7-0 which is unlikely.

Re: World Cup 2018 Qualifiers Discussion
I'm hoping for Venezuela, Chile, Colombia, Uruguay and Ecuador winning.
1. Brazil
2. Uruguay
3. Chile
4. Colombia
5. Peru
I think that Chile will draw in Brazil. I don't think Peru will lose to Colombia in Lima, max a draw for Colombia. We haven't lost since march (draws to Colombia, Uruguay and Argentina) but I think Paraguay might edge it since they have all to play for. Argentina in Quito is really tricky, draw. Urguay will win in Montevideo.
