Elche vs Real Madrid
Elche are one of those annoying teams away. I would take a 1-0 right now and run as far and fast as possible away from that game
In terms of team news, Modric has started training with the team word is that he will be back for the Villarreal game which should give him enough time before the Clasico to get his fittness level up. This would also allow us to rest Kroos who has rarely gotten rest since Modric got injured
Carvajal should be alright before the game. All other players have trained normally apart from the injred Ramos, James, Coentrao and Khedira
As usual line up picks itself apart from the spot next to Kroos. Knowing Carlo though Silva will start over Illarra
Hopefully, Ronaldo can use this game to get back to his best with a brace/hattrick

Re: Elche vs Real Madrid
yeah and its away from home too....wait coentrao is still out?!? honestly we need a wing back next season, as back up for marcelo and carvajal. if we can get one who can play both left and right back it'll be ideal as he'll probably get more minutes that way. coentrao's condition or lack thereof can be baffling at times....this dude never gets injured during games, picks up these mysterious knocks at home and in training. once again i hope we can score early, if teams like these settle down at nil nil, they'll definitely go for a draw or luck on set pieces....i look forward to seeing how carlo handles the midfield

Re: Elche vs Real Madrid
I agree with you re Coentrao. Such a frustrating player
I think Nacho can be that versatile defender. He is great everywhere he plays

Re: Elche vs Real Madrid
true, but for a young kid like nacho i think its best he focuses on playing one position, center back, for now. when he fully develops in that area, he can always play as a stand-in, in other positions when needed. not to mention with the lack of help he'll get on the defensive end from the wingers, he might get burnt out quickly, he isn't as energetic as carvajal with regards to running up and down the flank....he's definitely a good back up, at least he hardly shits his pants when called upon

Re: Elche vs Real Madrid
Isnt Nacho 25 or at least nearing that age. He's hardly a kid anymore, I wouldn't mind it if we promoted Llorente to be the 4th CB and Nacho permanently used as a back up fullback. He is ready to be a starter nvm back up. Coentrao is just wasting a spot on the team we could use for someone else same goes for Khedira

Re: Elche vs Real Madrid
I have always thought of him as a kid too but he is older than many of our starters especially the ones in defence which is such a shame for him

Re: Elche vs Real Madrid
Elche away is by no means a given, but we have to widen the gap between us and barca especially as we are at our worst.
If we are to win the league these are the games we must win as it looks like we'll lose the majority of big games in the league.

i don't think we could beat the sisters of mercy 5-1 right now... the sisters would bully our midfield

Fck this reff. Benzema scores a legit goal and he is ruled offside
Ronaldo has been horrid. His misses are costing us right now. Put Jese in for him please

Good game
Felt it was one kf those games after the ruled out goal but we came through in the end thank god. Hope this reff is relieved of his duties what a terrible game. He is lucky this wasn't in Calderon or he would've given more decisions against us fcking scrub
Pepe
Carvajal
Marcelo
BEenzema
Isco Everytime he gets subbed out he gets standing ovations by both our fans and the opposition fans. He has so much heart and dedication. He is in splendid form atm. Keep it up little maestro

Re: Elche vs Real Madrid
Job done. 4 points clear of Barca, 7 from Atleti. Never looked like we would lose, despite being very wasteful. I thought Bale was good today, that tackle on him though
Silva was pretty good today.
Also:
Benzema has now scored against all teams in la liga.
Cristiano also became joint 3rd highest Madrid goal scorers (290 in 281)

Isco ffs He's so good.
We're improving and getting back to our top form just at the right time. we're going to tear shit up again when Modric and James come back.

Aaron should've definitely been sent off for that tackle on Bale. It's tackles like those that have a tendency to break legs.
Also, Benzema's overhead goal was, in fact, not offside

Re: Elche vs Real Madrid
Bale was lucky that he was hit when his foot wasn't on the ground. If it were, that could have been a career-ending injury. It's impossible to return to your regular level after a broken leg.

Silva is more composed and clearly isn't a scaredy puss which I find to be odd considering Illarra was just as composed and brave when at La Real.
That match against Dortmund really messed him up.

Re: Elche vs Real Madrid
A lot of the discussions (and I mean a lot) were basically constant arguing over, well, anything really. The Barcelona-Real Madrid rivalry was at it's most annoying level with Barcelona simply being than us. So we used to just argue over who was better and what was better.
Ideas belting out all over the place, everyone's tactical nuance was at their peak and sometimes one could have sworn Real Madrid was paying us to make long winded reports.
But time passed and RM actually got good again. Barcelona were no longer as dominate and we all exhausted everything we could have possibly said. Not to mention RL responsibilities, bans, guys just stop posting here, etc and you got what was a section being a whisper and shadow of its former self.
Don't get me wrong, I totally like the the RM fans here but I do miss the arguments a lot. And Futbol hasn't lived up to the troll I hoped he would have been. I tend to side with him more often than I should.

Re: Elche vs Real Madrid
Yeah definitely
Regarding the game what did people make of Silva??? I think his bravery to attack is what has him start over Illarra and confirms why Illarra isn't preferred by Carlo. I don't know what he expected of a CDM tbh
