Reports in Spain say that Alba called Fabregas about the potential of joining Chelsea in the summer.

He was left out of Barca's side today, with Mathieu and Umtiti preferred in the LB spot.

Meanwhile, Tuttosport is reporting that Torino has knocked back a 60m euro offer for Belotti, from us.

Looks like we're getting a CF this summer.

I don't want Lukaku back, i think his level is Everton or fringe between EL/CL caliber team(United, Arsenal).

I hate Lukaku, don't want him but I think if he did join it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. I feel like he should go to Arsenal though.

Whats up shed? I have been lurking from time to time.

This summer transfer window is critical imo, with the right transfers we could be one of the front runners in the CL next season.

I personally do not rate Bakayoko, reminds me of Ramires a bit; low IQ and keeps running into players while losing the ball.

Wish we could go in for Marco Veratti though. I would settle for Naby Keita although.

We're going to end up spending 70-100m on one of Morata, Belotti or Lukaku.

At least we know Lukaku bangs them in, seeing as he has hit 20 goals in all comps in the last 3 seasons. Adding to that, he's scored 15+ in 4 out of the last 5 seasons in the PL alone.

I'm not saying Lukaku is worth the money, because I don't think he is. But, he's top club quality, imo.

To be fair to him, his chances with us came when he was 20 or younger, and there were only 15 all up.

He was later sold by Jose who also forced out KDB (that one hasn't come back to bite us or anything, has it? Rolling Eyes

He has developed a lot since we sold him.

He scored goals galore out on loan while owned by us, and he's scoring goals now. His ability to bag while playing for mid-table also-rans when under zero pressure to perform and no expectations to achieve isn't in question. The doubt over him has been his all-around play and decision-making, neither of which I've seen all that much improvement in myself.

I can't see Belotti costing as much as Lukaku would, and at least Morata has a record of performing for top clubs (though I have doubts he's capable of being the 20-a-season type we'd probably (hopefully...) be looking for). Not an easy situation to fix at all with football hardly being flush with top-class available strikers right now.

I don't want Morata, the one thing both Juve and Madrid fans agree on, is that he isn't starting material for a top club.

I think one of Belotti or Lukaku could become that star CF we want, but I am not sure which is the better option.

Latest on the CF situation:

Costa > China for about 60-80m
Lukaku > Chelsea for 80 - 100 m
Abraham > Everton (loan)

I'd be ok with this, if Costa's fee covers most of Lukaku's, we'll still have buckets to spend on Sanchez (pls, for the lols), a WB and a CM.

We are definitely linked to Lukaku more, but Belotti just makes too much sense. Belotti does all of the small things that make Costa very valuable. Press relentlessly, harass opposing defense into making mistake, reaction to loose balls, and constantly moving. Also offer some of the things that Costa doesn't provide; better link up play, headers, finishing, and better all round ability.

I think if Conte were to choose he would select Belotti.

Still not sold on Lukaku coming back. I really don't think his first touch has improved all that much. We need a striker that can link up well with the rest of the team but with Lukaku all I see is him losing the ball when it is needed the most
