Mourinho in the ear of the ref. I don't expect any favours in this half.
At least part your wish is here.

You guys could have done without 30 more minutes away at SB, given your schedule though.

Re: Chelsea vs. Liverpool
Why is Gerrard still on the field
Also, way too many long punts up field from us in the 2nd half. 30 minutes left to salvage this.

Re: Chelsea vs. Liverpool
Well, that was that.
Our finishing and shooting is so bad. Can't really have complaints if we cannot score in 120 minutes in a game where we knew from the start we needed to score.
Gerrard starting f***ed us over for the whole game. For an attacking midfielder you need someone who gets things done in the final third and Gerrard isn't that player in 2015. So, anyway, he spends about 60 minutes there and when we do switch things around, we end up with that fabulous Gerrard - Lucas CM combo, with Henderson at wing-back again. All because Gerrard apparently cannot leave the pitch in a big game, no matter how little influence he's having on the game. Great.
I don't know, just moving on, I guess.

Re: Chelsea vs. Liverpool
Again we can't *bleep* finish FFS
How thew *bleep* did Gerrard play 120 mins, again were putting him before the team, *bleep* you Rodgers, grow some *bleep* balls mate. Why the *bleep* was Lallana an unused sub, seriously. Rodgers subs shit again.
Yes hendo was at risk of getting a second yellow but *bleep* me, we re arranged him and Gerrard and got nothing out of it.
Honestly the amount of times one of our attacking players made a shit choice in the final 3rd is ridiculous.
*bleep* hendo's open goal header miss.
FML we had them at the bridge, we *bleep* had them, and gave it all away because we can't finish.
Let's move on, we look like we can match most teams now with our best players fielded but again, we have no real plan b and all our subs are useless *bleep*.
Whatever happens this season BR needs to sort his squad out so we actually have an effective squad that can sustain 1 player getting *bleep* injured.

Re: Chelsea vs. Liverpool
ok, we are done with this competition then !!
Anyways it was always difficult to get past Chelsea side. I did not watch the game but looking at the comments, it seems like if we play with this intensity against other teams in Feb, we should get better results. There should be no excuse not win against \West Ham, thats all

Re: Chelsea vs. Liverpool
there was nothing wrong with Gerrard remaining on.
He's still our best finisher in Danny's absence and at Chelsea away, you may need a free kick to score a goal. We lost this tie to our poor finishing, and nothing else
Without Gerrard, we couldn't even score vs. Bolton...so let's not re-write history.
Positive was, we technically took a clean sheet in SB, our defense looks a hell lot better and Mignolet looks better as a result too. Hope Sakho's injury isn't serious, so we can keep this back 3 with same personnel.
busy period approaching, I'm very uncomfortable with our striking options other than Sturridge, because frankly, they aren't to the level we require.
We need a fit Sturridge for remaining of the season to salvage a top-4 finish or trophy IMO. We already missed out on a trophy because of it. no doubt in my mind if Dan was fit for these 2 ties, it'd be us going to Wembley now.

Re: Chelsea vs. Liverpool
I am sad.
If only this team had any kind of finish. Though, to be fair, Courtois saved at least 3 sure goals over the two legs.
Ugh.

I'm still very emotional so won't say too much.
But I want to drop by and say that I'm proud of everyone.

Re: Chelsea vs. Liverpool
Keeping Gerrard and sending Balotelli both was mistakes IMO. Though both tried their best, that's not enough specially for crunch match like this.
Anyway, no meaning in brooding on it. Let's move on. Hopefully we will have bit more luck in rest of the season and Rodgers will make his experiences, from so far this season, count.
