What a profile Sri
I was hesitant on him but reading everyone else's opinion on him, I guess it's best to wait. Hopefully he turns out to be another Koscielny rather than Squillaci.
At least now we have 3 legit CBs instead of just 2

Re: OFFICIAL: ARSENAL SIGN A CB
Tbf Koscielny's first season wasn't anything to write home about.
He had quite a lot of f ups that season. You could argue that playing with the likes of Djourou and Squillaci were destructive to his performances to some extent, yet it took him about 2 years to add some concistency to his game and limit his occasional facepalm-worthy moves to a minimum.
In regard to ol' Paul I hope he does better than Koscielny in his first year, but I'm not expecting a Vermaelen-esque impact. We know how that went down in his later years at the club.

Selling a injury prone Thomas Vermaelan for £15 million and buying Gabriel Paulista for £11.2 million...

Feel really badly for Tommy but surprised Barca didn't invest that money in another Liga CB like Moreno.

Re: OFFICIAL: ARSENAL SIGN A CB
That subtitle
According to reports and people who watched him, he's not the most technically gifted player, so shoving him out on the wing and having him play fullback might not be the best idea

Re: OFFICIAL: ARSENAL SIGN A CB
I don't think he meant he can play there well. Maybe he just means he can play there. As in, he won't spontaneously combust if you shunt him out wide.

Re: OFFICIAL: ARSENAL SIGN A CB
Arsene Wenger hails 'important future player' Joel Campbell
"We extended Joel Campbell contract because I believe he will be an important player in the future.
"But we have so many options in this position that, for us, it was a good opportunity to get Gabriel and as well I believe it is a good opportunity for him to get some time to play and that's what he need.
"He has a very strong mentality and very good talent. He's very young as well and to go to Spain, play and impose himself will be fantastic."
- Spoiler:
- Flash forward:
The year is 2035.
An 85-year-old Arsene Wenger has just made the call to sanction Joel Campbell's 24th straight loan move away as the Costa Rican considers retirement.
