Brady delivering one of the GOAT performances and our defense couldn’t force more than one drive without them scoring.
Happy for Eagles though. Amazing work by their GM.

I'm watching some of it. Having people over. Mostly seeing it as an excuse to drink and have people over and eat food. In that context, the Superbowl is fun.
Will not pay close attention to the game itself

Re: NFL Thread Part 2
My only match of US Football in the year kicks off in 5 hours. Rooting for Chiefs since a quebecer is in the team, Laurent Duvernay-Tardif, a fkng mountain 6'5" 300 pounds
Last year it was sooo boring lol
Usually i do the superbowl party at home and everyone brings tons of food. This year my friends have the terrible idea of going to a bar for the game... i hate bars it's full of lame people imo

Re: NFL Thread Part 2
You can run or pass
3 tries to gain 10 yards, every time you gain 10 yards the counter retries. The 4th try is either to clear off the ball or attempt a field goal which is worth 3 pts. Touchdown is 6 pts + 1 extra pt from the kick.
Various penalties i can't explain them all, most important are: cannot grab the face mask, can't do unnecessary roughing, can't do interference to the ball receiver
It's quite boring but sometimes there are highlight catches and big hits.

Re: NFL Thread Part 2
Yes it can seem complicated, the game itself is simple, but there are many rules and technicalities. If you have other questions i will answer.
US Football is in fact a fascinating sport, i learned all about it while playing the video game Madden. Strategy is a huge part of the game. Each team has a playbook with 50+ attacking/defending line ups and actions. It depends on the situation and squad. When you play and control (as in video games) it's very fun, i just don't get the same interest by watching a live match. Too many commercials and hard to recognize one play from another when you don't actually see the playbook. Some Superbowls have been great these last years tho.
___POSITIONS___
-Offense-
QB: passer
RB: rush
WR: runs far to catch the ball
TE: runs close to catch the ball
FB: protects the rusher and quarterback
O-Line: blocks the defenders
-Defense-
D-Line: destroy the O-Line to create space
Linebackers: knock down either the QB or the rusher
Cornerbacks: man coverage the WR/TE
Safety: zone coverage of WR
The last 3 positions can have either roles, i wrote the most common strategy.
