There are too many passengers in this team, Inzaghi included. The coach will be lucky not to be fired if we don't win next week, and I can understand why. Milan played football for all of 9 minutes and then fell to pieces. De Jong being out is no excuse for terrible team selections such as Rami at RB and Essien at CDM.

Montolivo had one of his infamous off days, and Poli was doing nothing but giving the ball away for the whole game. The defenders couldn't play an offside trap properly if their lives depended on it and still can't defend set pieces either.

It's not as if we're playing against world-beaters. Sassuolo has a fraction of Milan's budget, yet their team is balanced with players performing roles in their natural positions. Missiroli looked like Zidane today against our midfield and Zidane he is most definitely not.

I am reluctant to blame our forwards for this performance because they had to constantly drop deep to pick up the ball and then try to create something with an extremely slow build-up.

Yes, we should've had a penalty after Cannavaro handballed it in the box, but we can't rely on refereeing decisions to save us from terrible play.

This was the game I immediately thought of instead of the last time Sassuolo beat us. The similarities are incredible. Poli scored early and then the whole structure of the team turned into a mess.

MDS was also off today, but at least he tried to chip in going forward. Menez looked completely disinterested. Pippo has to stop with these baffling decisions, if Abate could've played then why not play him? Why still use Zapata? My heart leaps to my throat every time i see Zapata and Essien exchanging passes or Zapata trying to bring the ball forward.

We're now 5 points from 3rd, Lazio sits 3rd atm. We face them in 3 games time, away. I cannot stress how important it is to beat the provincial fodder teams. Even more so since we're playing home. Its unacceptable, Inzaghi's words "If we lose it will not be because they want it more" seems ironic since Sassuolo looked like they want to win more.
