vermaleen , Lovren but in both cases it"s the clubs' fault . How do you pay that much for these players ...

Varmaelen has done exactly what I expected him to do
Too early and imo there are too many players who could be labeled as a big flop at the moment.

Vermaelen can't be a fraud if he hasn't played imo

Kagawa easily wins this for me. He returned back to Dortmund amongst much fanfare and adoration yet has barely made any impact so far.
The reason BVB are rock bottom at the moment is because of their lack of goals. Kagawa was expected to help their creativity and chip in with goals himself and has done *bleep* all pretty much. They're 100% reliant on Reus this season.

His injury was fake, and he left North West of England because he was a naughty boy and his private life was in danger of going into divorce.
A bit like Chamakh's story at Arsenal

Pretty much every new French player in EPL this season has either not played or flopped
Gomis
Cabella
Mangala
Stambouli
Riviere
Zouma
Other than Riviere who is just shat, the others will come good eventually imo.

Cabella especially has just been horribly treated, he looks good when he actually plays. With Pardew gone he should get his chance.

A good one.
How about Herrera?
There was some hype all right, and what did he cost, £30m or something? Now keeps riding the bench while United field a Garrick - Rooney CM pair.

Herrera looked good before injury and struggled to get back in.
Bit harsh to call someone to flop without opportunity to prove it.

I haven't watched much of Ligue 1 this season but how has David Luiz been playing? He commanded one of the largest transfer fees of the summer.

Luiz has been ok... Silva has been poor for PSG so far. Luiz has been surprisingly solid mostly. Not that many errors.
With Thiago Motta sucking now, Luiz may move to that libero position as Marquinhos was very good and he can slot in at CB. That's the rumor. We'll see how they line up in the next game.

as mole said he was injured and thats why you are not seeing him right now.
and even before that fellaini was having a purple patch playing well in every match and that forced herrera on to the bench. theres only 1 spot in the formation for a b2b right now for van gaal. herrera hasnt done bad, in fact he was one of the better players this season for us.
Sure considering his price he need to perform higher but if you can give a 43 m mangala benefit of doubt saying he need to time to settle to the league, it sure has to be applicable for ander.
on top of that he has played brilliantly in 3 matches of the 10 featured so far. w ham, qpr and hull and so he aint a flop at all.
has been decent to good and hopefully will only get better from hereon.

Art names Shaw then Herrera dat agenda
Herrera has been brilliant when he has played and not injured and there is some rumours that he has been late to training so he has been dropped for discipline, not his play...and we look a hell of a lot better when he is in the midfield see our game vs stoke yesterday as prime example.
