The way that it's listed on the Liverpool site it seems like the line-up will be the 3-4-3 (or 3-4-2-1 if you prefer) still like this:


I don't mind it either, but I think the 4-3-3 with these personnel would have looked nice too.

I'd prefer the 4-3-3 (Christmas tree instead of wide forwards), but we should beat this Swansea team comfortably. They have Shelvey and Britton as their midfield pair and I don't think Jonjo should play in a midfield pivot in any away game and Britton is bang average (and already 32).

We got this.

The only three things that worry me a little is that
a) will the formation work out
b) how Manquillo and Moreno will do after being left out for a while
c) can we finish our chances.

Well, the attacking intensity/penetration would be less/negligible on the right-side but the back-line and midfield would be more solid. I guess that would allow Lallana, Coutinho and Henderson to focus more on attack.

Markovic might come-in for Manquillo at some point.

I think this is best lineup this season.

What I would actually like to see is Skrtel on the far right and Can in the middle acting as the main outlet from the defence being able to roam forward a bit to be more involved in the game. Almost like a half back as opposed to an out and out defender. Either way I think he'll bring some intensity and command to our defenders tonight. Hope he comes good on it.

Holy oh my. Coutinho has been absolutely buzzing the last 5 games. He'll get something today I think.

Lallana -> Henderson -> Moreno love it.

When we couldn't take our early chances I was starting to fear it was going to be a case of poor finishing again, but Moreno's goal was a good one and a relief. Swansea haven't offered much anything, but we should score another to make the points sure.

Shelvey has impressed me with his game intelligence, btw. If he only put more of a shift in he could be excellent, but that walking about just looks so dumb.

Anyway, another half like that and all the points will stay at Anfield.

Yeah, Henderson was great in CM. Should keep his place there.

Sakho can be so slow to react to crosses. The guy's physically a beast, but that gets undone when he's so often late to mark his man. That cost us a goal today, but luckily didn't matter.

Lallana's finish was class - and his second goal wasn't a bad one, either.

This game was just what we needed to finish the year off.

That goal should be Henderson's. It was going in ya?

You do realize that Bony was Skrtel's man and he left him completely unmarked, and Sakho basically did his best to cover up for Martin's f up. Did amazing to win the areal battle vs. him, sadly no one tracked Siggy to fully clear the ball.
