Draxler, Sam and Huntelaar would be a threat in transition? Sure but Ronaldo, Isco, Kroos, Benzema, Carvajal, possibly Modric would be a threat all match. And Pepe is actually a fine centre back this season, actually he is continuing his fine form from last season.

Seriously, I do enjoy Gil's forum personality but even he probably doesn't believe Schalke has much or any chance in this match.

pls go this game has the potential to turn into the most entertaining match of this round, two attacking teams facing each other, safe to say there'll be a lot of goals from ~~Real Madrid~~ both sides.

Already posted this in the RM section, but I guess it is relevant to the general match thread, too:

Even though RDM already announced in the PK that he wants to park the bus hard, none of Schalke's experienced goalies Ralf Fährmann or Fabian Giefer is fit and you will face the 19 year old kid Timon Wellenreuther from the Schalke youth. Even though he has enormous potential, so far he only played two full BL matches and he is still very green behind the ears.

Well, "wet behind the ears" sounds pretty close. And by the way, oce in a while I actually deliberately translate German figures of speech as I noticed that quite some English figures of speech made their way into the German language and I always try to return that favour Razz
