No. But it's not mental fragility either.
It's idiocy, pure and simple.

Good game though. I don't know why but I wanted Arsenal to go through. Too bad.
The French commentators from Bein were hilariously biased. I don't think I've ever seen something like that before. It was like listening to hardcore Monaco fans watching the game.

There is no need to be upset. Arsenal weren't going to win the CL anyway, can fully concentrate on top 4 trophy now.

That was an easy group.
Anderlecht, Besiktas and the worst Dortmund in years? Give me a break.

that's nothing new .
french commentators are always biased towards Ligue 1 teams .
they're also biased towards teams with french coaches or french players, like arsenal back in the day.

I watched the match on a Sky stream and the English did the same. Swear it was Arsenal fans commentating but they weren't. So I guess they'll always be bias when country is involved in any sort of aspect.

Conceding that third goal at home when making it 1 - 2 just moments before was really bad. And, it turns out, fatal.

I understand and expect some bias during the broadcast but this was a whole another level. The play by play dude wasn't too bad but the guy doing the analysis was hilarious. He didn't even try to stay objective. This was a Monaco fan through and through.

Wenger bottled it again in Europe.
Arsenal is three times Monaco, showed also today.
Why was Ramsey on bench ? He turned the match.

Ligue 1 biatch slapped EPL... Best league in the world That is all.
Milan, bayern and barca all had similar nervous second legs after building big leads against Arsenal. So Monaco with 6 kids 23 years and less doing the same is not surprising.

Monaco was awful though. Like RM against Schalke awful but just with a hint more awful. They honestly barely made it out but then again, their opponent was Arsenal. They always barely lose...

Re: CL R16: Arsenal Vs Monaco
Bayern got destroyed 2-0 at home and Milan were similarly kicked around 4 years ago... Monaco wasn't worse than those. It's just a natural tendency to lack intensity and play too low with a huge first leg lead.
Monaco are like this anyhow. They don't care about style at all. Everything is about the final result for them however they can get it.

Arsenal gets destroyed at home and destroys the team away till coming short. thats what we see all the time. its surprising why they lack that heart at home. But even if they would have been through they probably would not be any better threat than Monaco.

Meh, simply put the competition from Ligue 1 has increased in the last years to the point where their top tops can produce these results. I think almost everyone's conveniently forgetting that Arsenal & Chelsea did not lose by result but by ruling. It's no shame to be eliminated to top teams from other leagues outside the best league in the world. Especially when isn't far and away the best league. There are no excuses here Arsenal & Chelsea are out. Did they flop? Nope.

and Monaco is no bayern .

Watch them win 2-0

I don't really get what you're trying to distinguish. PSG lost by the same ruling the past 2 seasons... once to Barca and the other to Chelsea. Losing is losing.
All this shows is that all this "best league in the world" nonsense is just that... nonsense. Everything goes in cycles. EPL may become the "best" league in the future though given their media contract. However, they're not there yet. I think La Liga and Bundi are better than EPL right now tbh. Ligue 1 isn't but that's just because of depth... the top tier teams in Ligue 1 are as good as those in any of the other leagues.

Nonsense.
Chelsea were outplayed in Paris, and PSG dominated and outplayed them with 10 men...10 men! And they didn't flop?
Arsneal out again at the same stage 5 years running. It's not a flop but expected. They whack out excuses, "we drew Barcelona", "we drew Bayern", "we drew bayern" now they drew Milan and Monaco and they are out again. The definition of insanity is repeating the same thing and expecting different results.

the tactical aspect yes. He gave the midfield to Monaco.
Besides ... how can you concede that 1-3 to last minute?
In CL matches are long 180' , it wasn't a league match.

The same midfield had 71% possession yesterday. It looked like tactics were a mess last time, but clearly, it was just not our day and our usual brainfarts didn't help. The same tactics sort of crapped all over Monaco yesterday.
(Refer sportsczy's post in match preview before kick-off about AW choosing same side basically to almost make a statement that he didn't get selection wrong.)

Re: CL R16: Arsenal Vs Monaco
or Monaco just decided to park the bus yesterday and block the attack whereas they played higher in the first game (much higher)... i think Wenger was VERY lucky that Jardim decided to hold the fort as opposed to play last night. I had the feeling it would be that way when both Carrasco and Bernardo Silva were on the bench.

Re: CL R16: Arsenal Vs Monaco
Jardim held the fort for Stamina reservation, methinks. If you keep your team back and Counter little then your players won't get tired as much. Monaco still need to play catch up to assure themselves a CL playoff for next season. Fatigue certainly plays a role in teams competing for CL.
However, I think it's also a fair argument that some Arsenal players weren't playing their A game which hindered them in the first leg. Looking at you Giroud.
