Really don't it's bad at all looking at the pictures. The 'damaged' one is still bothering me a bit. A bit too meta.

Some guy Love ya brah
Chris Pine as Steve Trevor? what...
Why not get him as Green Lantern? Which he has been rumoured as. Can't see GL being introduced in WW. But maybe.

Read reports months ago he was frontrunner for Hal Jordan, he was my first choice also.
Guess that puts it to rest. May also seem like they've got some plans for Steve Trevor, or maybe Chris Pine has a one off deal, considering the rumours WW will be a WW2-period film.

Green Lantern should be a stand-alone and a reboot.
Chris Prat would have been great as Hal Jordan tbh. But obv he can't play him.

Is Hal Jordan really that kind of cheese comedian? I haven't really read much about him. But from what I've heard he's somewhat like Captain Kirk whom Pine plays in Star Trek.
Really hope Pine is Hal tbh. Hope is still out there.
Imagine nerdrage if Tyrese is cast

Depends on which iteration (i.e. which writer) portrays him and/or who you talk to. Hal has... a long and complicated history filling a variety of character roles. Most often in though he tends to be described as a very handsome, confident, and impetuous man who can't seem to get his personal life straight and nailed down (think prototypical fighter jock, such as early days Maverick from Top Gun) with something of a guilt complex. Some writers tend to focus on and play up the former parts (see the early issues of the Nu52 JL reboot), even to the absurd extreme, while others focus on the latter (current ongoing GL comic). Then there's the going-insane-stealing-all-power-and-trying-to-rewrite-the-universe-after-his-hometown-got-nuked Hal...
Still think the most likely option for Jordan is the unknown cast as a "drone pilot" for the Batman v Superman film. Otherwise they could very well try to put as much distance as possible between that trainwreck of a film that was Green Lantern and their new works by simply opting for a different human GL; in which case Stewart is the most rational option due to his greater name recognition after the successful Justice League cartoon.

Damn Chris Pine would have been the perfect Hal Jordan. If he is Steve Trevor who the hell is Scott Eastwood playing?
If Jon Stewart is Green Lantern then Idris Elba is the only acceptable answer ffs.

Jon Stewart is so boring and generic though.
With serious characters such as Batman, Superman, WW and Aquaman, they also need characters like Hal, Barry, Shazam.
They have been quite tight lipped with GL overall though. Maybe there is a debate within to what to do with the character.

Re: The Official Comicbook Movies Thread
Doubt that Drone Pilot guy is Hal Jordan though. He hasn't been in a film yet. They can do that with Cyborg, but doubt they'll do it with GL.
Jon Stewart being boring in a cartoon and comics can be changed in the movies though. He's really popular among my age group atleast. Doubt anyone knows who Hal is, atleast in Denmark (before the 2011 movie atleast)

Re: The Official Comicbook Movies Thread
John Stewart is simply difficult to handle. Writers tend to play up the "Ex-Marine" and "architect" aspects these days so he does tend to come across as a bit stiff and boring, but in the past he had a far more varied and somewhat edgier tint, challenging racial divisions and stereotypes... plus there was the Mosaic storyline which was quite different.
