I think a winger is our most important signing now, yes above a CB. There's no control with the diamond, and the 3-5-2 is just horrible. Wilson was really good today, so happy for him. Falcao was bad, but his movement was still good a step in the right direction. The subs in general were good too (he took off the right players). No 3-5-2 on Friday, please.

I swear, if LVG resorts back to 3-5-2 after today, and that improvement once we changed to a back 4, I'm going to be full on 'LVG out'.

It was night and day once we changed formation. We were getting the ball to our dangerous players more, we were getting into dangerous areas, and we looked more threatening.

Fellaini made a big difference. Did a solid job in both boxes and won the ball back for us and spread the play well.

Rojo (apart from a cock up with Carrick), Blind,Fellaini De Gea and Wilson were outstanding today.

Falcao got himself into good positions, but needs to be more clinical if he wants a place in the team. Missed 2 golden chances for us today.

So pleased Wilson consolidated the win for us. That will do him a world of good.

Negatives- we wasted an entire half playing that shite formation. Rooney is never a MF (he was so bad), Evans starting ahead of Smalling, Herrera being used as a last min sub, Di Maria playing as a striker.

seriously tho Wilson was impressive...when he had the ball he showed his quality, and belief in himself taking on player knowing he could beat them with his pace.

I found it disrespectful that he brought on our 28mill signing as a last min sub to wind down the clock and it doesn't do any favours to the rumours that he doesnt rate Herrera.

Had a good game against Yeovil. Saved LvG from another lower tier embarrassment, and then nowhere to be seen. Just like how it happened with Shinji. Will have a good game and then on the bench.

But I like to look at positives, At least he dropped rvp today. Now dont tell me it was cos of an injury. oh please was it ??
Then he played falcao who had an average game at best. Rooney and adm in their bizzarre role reversal aint working either. so i like to think eventually herrera will get games seeing the others not delivering.

And I agree with BB with regarding the sub. It was okay. Players are used to that. Regardless of how big a player is worth if you are playing for someone like lvg you should be prepared for moments like that.

And Blind that guy should displace carrick in that central midfield. If lvg is too keen to play carrick, let him play somewhere else. Blind is by far our most important player right now. The difference his presence makes in the midfield is HUGE.
I dont have anything against carrick but I am sorry he is nowhere near Blind and the latter shouldnt at all be sacrificed just to bring in the leadership of carrick. Carrick is a better mf than rooney obviously, and probably he can partner with Daley. But then it can make it very one dimensional. So only room for one.

Yeah Blind was fanastic. Been our best signing. Love the way he reads the game and the composure and assureness he brings to our team.

And yh, RVP has an ankle injury.

If Blind improves his passing he can become a top, top player. By that I mean more risks, he is capable of it imo He's slow covering ground though

Hello Manchester United fans on GoalLegacy. I'm Katy Perry. I have a question.

Realistically, do you expect United to return to top flight football this season? Getting back to the CL, fighting for the title etc.

I can't say that I'm not enjoying seeing United struggling this season and last season but, I mean, maybe it's because I'm not english, but I never felt rivalry with any London teams/english teams and I usually cheered for the other PL teams, except United.
That's because under SAF Chelsea's main contender was always United, either in CL, in PL, domestic cups, it was either us or United.

But on the other hand, being in the race to win the PL without United or looking to the other CL teams in the last 16 and not seeing United just doesn't feel right. when I think about the elite in England football and CL football I think about United.

City is a good rival but that's it. I mean, winning the league against City is like..IDK..having sex with someone you're not really attracted to. Not saying it's bad, but you know, I'd rather win it against United.

Top 4 is certainly within our reach, tactical changes in formation are needed to cement us there though, 3 at the back can not continue if we want to be successful this season.

Then this summer a squad overhaul is required, deadwood has to be shipped out and fresh talent that can contribute positively to this team is required to come in.

We need to flog our entire defence except for Rojo and Shaw. Buy 2 quality centre backs and a rb in the summer(Clyne). I know, I know this is all well known and has been said countless times on here but it's gotta be reinforced everytime.

This post is based on the fact that both Evans and Smalling have broken down. Again.

I respect Soton a lot, and if possible dont want to hurt them anymore. May sound stupid I know,  but its like whenever i hear we getting linked to a player of theirs I am rather not 'fully there' you know. Isnt there any other option?
