All depends on MCW, because right now Knight is a better player. Ennis and Plumlee haven't shown anything yet.

Bucks are better off with that trade imo. MCW will be better than Knight soon. Atleast for Bucks. MCW, Giannis, Parker. Great 3 guys to have.

don't think it's coincidence that Knight is having a break out year under Kidd, so MCW who has a higher ceiling then Knight imo will flourish.

If MCW turns out better than Knight then yeah they easily win, I'm just not convinced that he will.

One major plus is the height and wingspan, basically everyone on that team is going to be 6 " 6 or above. The potential versatility on D is insane.

MCW is one of the best PG on defense I've watched this year, def better than Knight's. Shut down the opposing PG 5 games in a row or something. Just needs to improve a bit on offense. He's also a better rebounder, better at steals, and a better passer.

He's more than a bit better than MCW on offense tbf, Bucks relied on Knight's offence because with Jabari going down as good as Giannis is he ain't no scorer yet.

Plus Buck's defence was already elite lol, Dat Heat starting lineup doe... Dragic-Wade-Deng-Bosh-Whiteside.

As long as you believe that Giannis and Jabari will be at least efficient 18 ppg scorers going forward then it should be ok.

If not you are relying a lot on MCW to improve offensively.

Don't believe Boston ever wanted him. Doesn't really make sense to trade a 28 year old better PG and acquire a 29 year old one who's going to command nearly 20m.

McDonough, the Suns GM, was Ainge's assistant in Boston for a number of years. Personally I think with all the assets Boston has, Ainge was trying to help him raise the price. But that leverage was pretty much killed when he said he would only re-up with 3 teams.

Smart move getting rid of MCW.

Never gonna be a player that'll lead you anywhere. Can't shoot worth a lick, turns the ball over 4+ times a game, gambles way too much on defense. Gotten better this year but still about average defensively; his length bails him out lots of times.

Knight is just as good on defense.

I don't know how I feel about getting Thomas. He's entertaining so we've got that going for us which is nice.

Also there's no doubt Reggie Jackson is a better player than DJ Augustin, but SVG needs a PG that shoots the three at a high clip. 27% from 3 this year, 28% career? It's going to be interesting.

KJ McDaniels is a pickup that's not getting talked about right now understandably, but he's got potential. Hinkie is obsessed with 2nd rounders apparently.

Also the MCW trade makes it clear they are targeting Mudiay/Russell in the draft

Yeah he was, I read earlier though the Kidd wanted a bigger guard and has done since the summer. He's clearly going for the Warriors style multiple 6 ft 6 and above all over the place so they can constantly swarm and switch.

It's a nice idea in theory I just question whether they have enough offence.

Well Bucks don't have enough offense as it is, so why trade Brandon Knight for MCW?

The defense wasn't the problem, it's scoring that's the problem...especially when you don't know if Jabari is going to come back from a knee injury and consistently put up points and Giannis still remains a wildcard. He has potential but we don't really know if he'll develop into the player people think he will yet.

Don't understand why Bucks are gambling so much on MCW, Parker and Giannis going forward. I think it could easily backfire. Knight has pretty much become an all-star caliber player and the best and most consistent scoring threat on the Bucks team and the Bucks are trading him away for potential. Doesn't make sense to me especially when you consider that Brandon Knight is only 23 right now, so it's not like the Bucks are trading for the future.

Really can't see much logic in the trade to be honest.

I guess it's partially because I don't particularly rate MCW though. I also want to punch him in the face.

Brandon Knight is also only in all star contention because of the conference though. Also Knight is more of A SG than PG, maybe Kidd wanted a PG.

I'm starting to jump off the Dallas are contenders bandwagon tbh, they can't rebound to save their lives and I don't see that changing.

Concerned about San Antonio as well but I'm nowhere near Dallas level concerned yet.
