Isn't Mei like, the least used hero competitively in Overwatch?

I do think D.Va needs a buff, however, I think Zenyatta needs one too. I really like him and he's got a lot of good about him, but being one shot by a widowmaker (with a simple body shot) just makes him not a viable character if the opposing team has a widowmaker.

To me OP means you can't be countered and are great in every situation.

As much as i love Mei, i used her constantly in the beta she doesn't fit that criteria.

tbf, Blizzard should be holding off on any buffs/nerfs for at least another month, probably at least two, unless something ends up being completely broken.

The game just came out as far as being open to the public, the metagame needs a bit of time to be figured out on its own. Though I don't really disagree with a buff to D.Va as I mentioned. Maybe I just suck with her, but I played her for like 10 minutes and it was the worst 10 minutes I've had in Overwatch.

D.Va was fine i thought.

You just need to know what targets to pick, she doesn't do enough damage unless you are up close to deal with other tanks for example.

But you can pick apart any character like that really.

Nah up close she doesn't do enough dmg either to compete when you consider other tanks damage up close. Mcree is a real problem though the CC and range/dmg combo is just too much when you're building up to an ult like High Noon

(the problem is his 6 shot burst - with a mouse 1 is going to get at least one headshot)

Mei is stuck in this situation where she doesn't do the damage and better fits a support playstyle and role (not including pug games though - I can see her being powerful in unorganized situations)

Yeah, i've heard that it's a commercial flop. The game is good enough to warrant far higher sales numbers, but it wasn't advertised well, and the timing of it's release couldn't be worse Laughing

There is so much I disagree with tbh. Not even going to go into it.

However there are a couple things that boggle my mind when it comes to typical criticism of Overwatch (talking generally, not about that particular review).

The F2P concept. People like F2P? I've never understood it. You want a game that's free but has content that others can have that you have to pay for? That's anything but free, it's a model to rope in people paying more for a game that they otherwise wouldn't just so you aren't left behind Laughing

Specifically for Overwatch, Blizzard is going to come out with new content and add it in FREE. You buy it once for a measly $40 (admittedly the $60 for consoles was a cheap shot) and the rest of the time you're on a level playing field getting everything for free immediately. Maps, heroes (if they add more), game modes you name it. Blizzard is always one of the best companies when it comes to being engaged with their games after release and also listening to the community.

The other thing is skins and cosmetics. It's similar for achievements and all...this isn't really even Overwatch related, I've just never understood it. Why do people care? The only time I ever remember doing anything like this is collectibles in games that you go around and find, and I did that mostly because I personally found it fun. People get enraged over the loot boxes...what? Never got it.

The only champion that deserves a heavy nerf is Mcree, low skill floor, low risk-high reward champion. You can be braindead and still get away with playing him. Mei on the other hand can be roflstomped easy

I'm shite with McCree and I've never once seen a dominant performance from one on console, that said I've watched a lot of PC streams and Genji is 1000x more effective on PC (he can legit on console too) too with mouse aiming, from what I've seen they may as well be two different games balance wise.

Agreed, I'm glad it's not a F2P game.. but like you said, the price they put on the console version is pretty high considering the limited content you get. I'm sure they'll add more stuff in the future, but you're not supposed to pay for unknown, future content

I haven't really cared much about the loot boxes, so far. In fact, It's not impossible that I'll end up purchasing a few of them. I still think it's a very cynical system that particularly affects people with gambling addictions, though. A more honest way of doing it, would be to allow people to purchase whichever "loot" they wanted for a set price, removing the gambling element entirely. To be honest, I was very surprised to see a microtransaction system in Overwatch, and although I'm not bothered by it personally, I'm not at all surprised that some people are.
