Depay should not go, with Fekir gone, it's HIS team now, and he is playing the Champions league next season. He should wait until he raises his level high enough to go to a top club again

After watching Depay for 2 years, I can safely say Barca got themselves a proper wide forward that'll solidify their 2nd spot nicely.

Is he really a wide forward now though? It feels like he's been playing in a front two for the last 2-3 years. He also plays as a 9 for Netherlands. It seems more likely he'll play in Suarez's spot.

He can't dribble and he likes playing closer to the ball. I wonder if he can adapt himself to a runner role on the left, if that's what he was signed for.

We would probably never sign him if not for Koeman but whatever. Can't argue with the 25M price tag if it really turns out to be this low.

I should rephrase myself I was referring to 1v1 situations. He's fine at dribbling in the sense that he's good at carrying the ball forward (he has good close control). Definitely better than current Suarez in that regard. However, 1v1 he's very inefficient. I'm sure there are clips of him putting defenders on the ground, but for every moment like that he had 20 moments where he couldn't do so right after.

I remember getting eye sores seeing him try to take on his man in a wide left role for LVG. He seems to lack that explosive first step despite being relatively quick. So I feel he's wasted hugging the touch line, but he would be fine as an inside forward. To me, it makes sense why's he been moved to a front two.

He has good close control to operate in small and tight spaces and it allows him to play closer to goal and take advantage of his shooting as well as simplifying his game.
