Post-SAF United have burned through two new Ronaldos already.
Januzaj and Depay.
Thank god they have new Henry, who has contributed a handful of goals at least.

He's feeling the pressure of flopping, looks scared and insecure out there. Looked much more confident in his first couple of months, but now he looks like he himself thinks he shouldn't be out there playing.

Re: Memphis Depay - Future Flop, now a MC
He pisses me off.
Comes on today and looks and plays half arsed again. In the 90th minute, we're on the break 3 v 2, he gets the ball, all he has to do is play a simple square pass to Schneiderlin and we would have most likely killed off Chelsea by scoring a 2nd goal, but he plays a sloppy and lazy pass that easily gets deflected by the Chelsea defender and into Courtois' hands.
He then doesn't bother to track back to help out the defence or apply pressure to the Chelsea players in the dying minutes. Chelsea go up the other end and equalize. It's not entirely his fault Chelsea equalize, but the lack of footballing intelligence and quality before it typifies his stint at the club so far.
This guy is a poser, someone who thinks they're the ish just because they had a good season at a scrub league. I can't see someone with this type of attitude lasting at a big club.

It's the best case scenario. Flops at United because of the money and fame, as well as the expectations placed on him at a very young age for a player of his talent but obvious current flaws. Will get sold, smarten up with some good influence, and come back when he's the finished product to play with Liverpool for titles while United hover around midtable.

FC Midtjylland right back Andre Rømer after facing Depay: "Never been this close to crying after a match"
Selected parts of the interview:
I have never been this close to crying after a match. I am devastated, and it's not going to be a good night of sleep.
He is the best player I have ever faced. It is difficult to argue for anything else when he plays like this. He is the best. He can do anything. He will go inside, outside, turn me around and use his incredible pace to get past me.
Obviously, I would have loved some more backup, but when I am the one being destroyed over and over, it is not fair to blame my teammates for anything.
The second yellow card is a redundancy. Completely unnecessary. It will be a game I remember for a very long time.

Good vision.
Not just any flop but a giant flop. And as usual I'm proven right again
Still not sure if he'll be a success elsewhere though with his wannabe rapper attitude but yeah, he was a doomed to fail at a club like United which has lately proven to be a deathbed for young players.
Ready to be proven right about Martial next

Re: Memphis Depay - Future Flop, now a MC
we simply have far too many better options in the attacking positions, the few times he's been given a chance he stunk up the pitch, think we should loan him to a lesser league, maybe Serie A or something, before cutting our losses though, since I don't think he's a bad player and will probably thrive with a bit less pressure on him. Or maybe he's just another Eredivisie fraud. Rich mans Elia IMO.

Memphis is talented and athletic but going to United went right to his head. He's shown flashes of what he's capable of but he needs the right manager and situation so that he can come back down to earth, put his head down, and put the work in. Hoping it still happens since I think he's done at United now and it will benefit the NT and whatever club he moves on to.

Re: Memphis Depay - Future Flop, now a MC
Barring Martial which LvG transfer has been success lemme ask. The lad is meh. He cant dribble for his life, has no pace and yet somehow has convinced the world that he is a winger by showboating in an inferior league. If he was a striker he would have had a much better career. But hey, he has convinced himself that he is the next Ronaldo even without doing anything at all. (blame United and Lvg too for giving him the no.7 shirt to add fuel to that notion)
We have better academy products than this guy (who ofc woudnt play for us under Jose, so theres that).
If even, LvG his supposed 'non-biological' father couldnt make him a success, then the chances are pretty grim I reckon. Will be a decent player for a mid table German club in the future, but thats about the maximum he can reach. His mentality is just not right even from the off.

@Gil wrote:His problem is he can't dribble or pass. His crossing, movement & finishing is very good though. He has a high goalscoring potential but he'll never be elite with his stiff dribbling & lack of close control.
