Re: Isco
smh isco was horrible what games were you guys watching? , chilling around the box with benzema, taking more shots, playing zero defense, dribbling into no where, no vision cause he was running about with his head down, and fluked couple goals, stop getting so sucked into his skills
its obvious for everyone to see, that isco has improved his game as CM so much he is elite now, still needs to make some improvement but im sure he will.

Shame that he plays so well, but won't ever be able to lock down a starting place.
LOL that's a pretty big assumption.
In any case I think in the long term this will benefit Isco because a) he'll develop his skills further and become more complete and b) he won't be destroyed physically at such a young age from over exposure.
Plus just because Bale gets back into the XI doesn't mean Isco goes out. James is due some rest and now would be a great time for some rotation.
Isco can play against the small teams all he wants. But when the big games come up, (the games that matter) Bale and James's names are ahead of his and that's a fact. There's no way you bench players who cost 100M and 80M.

Nah, I'm using the Hazard hater brigade's logic against them.
@ Del Bosque copying Simeone's/Carlo's formation now that Barca declined btw.

that was a given tbh. koke is a right-sided midfielder, isco a left-sided midfielder. I expect Thiago and Herrera at the Euros in central midfield. two of Jese/Paco/Costa upfront.

At Inter his talent would be wasted on the pitch.

Re: Isco
Anyway, on talent alone, isco is clearly superior to most of his peers..a top 3 young player on his day.my only problem is that guys like isco never go far basicaly cause of their mentality. They prefare to do 3 clutch tricks/moves in a game and be satisfied for that day without being exceptional in anyting else (cr7 and neymar probably learnt their lesson and look at them today) and again going by history, isco seems to be too inconsistent. Otherwise he'd have been a top top player..btw, isco dribbles better and nicer than hazard *coffee*..top 10 dribbler currently (among top top players).

You seem to not watch football games and play too much fifa. MY word, isco can only dribble? This season has shown he can defend, pass, cross, run, and do basically everything required of a midfielder. oh, and dribble like you said. One of the top midfielders this season. Stop basing your views from last season

Thanks Captain obvious. And which players cant do those things exactly? He hasnt done it long enough or consistently to be considered great at it.

Re: Isco
bankz be quiet if you don't know what your talking about, ever since isco adapted to the cm role more, his positioning, passing and defensive parts of his games has been consistent, and he has done it long enough to be great at it , unless performing @ cm vs bayern.barca and atleti doesn't count

Performances
Against Bayern
Came on in the 82th min in the 1st leg and 80th min in the 2nd when Madrid were up 4-0 on aggregates, 0 Goals 0 Assist in 18 mins.
Against Atletico Madrid
Played 61' in the final with Goatcelo being the bigger impact sub. Played a total of 247min against them in all competition with 0 Goals and 0 Assist. 247min/480 Total mins over 5 games.
Against Barcelona
Played 5 Mins in La Liga against Barca last season 0 Goals 0 Assist. On the Bench for the 1st games. Did play 88mins in the Copa del Rey Final but was Overshadowed by Di Maria and Bale's Heroics still 0 Goals and 0 Assist.
Against Bayern, Barcelona, and Atleti in 10 Games he registered 0 goals and 0 Assist. I watched 8 of those 10 Games and I am a Big Isco fan, wished he would have came to Manchester instead. However, what Performances were you watching Chad in those games?? Unless you use the same criteria Gil uses to judge Hazard's performances in big games

So central midfielders should only be judged on assists and goals?

Re: Isco
What can I say, ma boy DiMaria has changed people's perception of a successful CM
Isco has been excellent this season. Last season's wingers against Bayern and Barca were supposed to keep it tight at the back by helping to double up on the opposition winger (it will likely be same this season)
Bale scored in both finals but was awful in both of them. Stats like that doesn't tell the full story.

After the match wasn't impressed. Regardless if he started, for 82 min he didn't do much that was memorable while Modric and Alonso were brilliant. Pls let me know if other wise, I'll rewatch the match and let me know at what moments to pay close attention to Isco
