Agreed, I flat out expected them to sell him when James got there.
And Ancelotti is a great coach but the has not transformed Isco. Isco was ready to go as a top class player the minute he got to Madrid.
I don't know how people can sit here and give Ancelotti all this credit for Isco's game when he doesn't play him very much and he was pretty much the finished product when he got there.

tactically he was half the player he is today . he is playing the exact same role he failed last season. before di maria was groomed as a lcm/lm isco had been used there and had failed. this season he has been a beast.

That's just flat out untrue. Di Maria is gone and Bale is injured so he's more apart of the team and sees more of the play.
Not to mention it's his second year at the hardest club to fit into in the world and him playing in a new system.
He didn't fail in his first year, Jesus some of you Madrid fans are out of control. He came into the first season saving your asses and playing great and then he was not utilized.
He's adjusted to what has been asked of him but how short people's memories are. To claim he's playing better for Ancelotti now at Madrid than he was for Pellegrini at Malaga is just not true.

Re: Isco
impressed with Isco. He had brilliant start to his madrid career then had a bit of a fall at the end of the season, but now he seems to have geared himself up again.
i actually thought he was not really going to be regular and end his madrid career prematurely by going elsewhere because with kroos and james incoming he will have less time.
but its really good to see him making very good impact whenever he plays. he has been very positive so far this season. lets see if he can continue his consistency.
and also impressed with James.... just when we all thought there was no need to sell di maria and james would be a waste... he has adapted really well indeed to position he is not quite used to.

i think he will get decent amount of games. he will not be a first 11 choice unfortunately, but its nice to see ancelotti giving very good minutes for him and so far whenever he is called upon he has been very good indeed.

you clearly didn't see our matches. isco had a great pre-season and first month, but after October he declined immensely.

Re: Isco
James is being used as a right winger or a center mid. He's not playing on the left anymore. Isco defends better then james and james is more of a final passer. They play on opposite sides too. pls stop.
Isco has transformed into the modern day winger. Great defending and attacking, good all round game, good stamina and speed, and exceptional close control and dribbling

Carlo confirmed that once Bale is back, Bale will be starting.
Shame that he plays so well, but won't ever be able to lock down a starting place.

LOL that's a pretty big assumption.
In any case I think in the long term this will benefit Isco because a) he'll develop his skills further and become more complete and b) he won't be destroyed physically at such a young age from over exposure.
Plus just because Bale gets back into the XI doesn't mean Isco goes out. James is due some rest and now would be a great time for some rotation.

Re: Isco
Not a chance James gets dropped lol, he's another florentino toy so like Bale regardless of performance he'll always start.
Isco might get the less meaningful games but those two will always be above him in the pecking order when it truly matters.
It's quite sad.

Re: Isco
lol Mole James is not a toy, he's a fantastic player and one of the top performers for Madrid this season. Everyone on this team is available for rotation except Cristiano.
Also I'm sick of this tired and fake cliche that Flo picks the teams, that's clearly not what's happening.
There is nothing sad about this unless you are a cule (lol). Isco is a part of Madrid's core and will continue to be so. Believe it or not sooner or later that pecking order will see Isco in a higher position.

There's enough games for everyone, the season is long
Isco is the best LCM in the world though, so he'll get in there

It's getting really annoying with people acing like Isco is magically going to get better by sitting on the bench and that Carlo Ancelotti has some how made him a great player.
With Bale fit he starts 1 of every 4 games.
The guy has been awesome since Malaga and Carlo seems to favor him only when other's are injured. In fact it's pretty obvious if Carlo has his choice of selection Isco is not playing.
So please Carlo is a great coach and Madrid are in awesome form at the moment but just stop with assuming Carlo's plan all along is to sit Isco to make him better, it's just non-sense.
Again Isco was incredibly complete when he got to Madrid and now that he plays on a team of World class players he's using some of his talents he didn't have to at Malaga as he was the main guy.
Posts like this seriously make me question weather people actually watched him at Malaga and I hate using the whole, "I bet you never watch him play" excuse because it's played out.
Yes, Isco is awesome and one of the best midfielders in Spain and around the world. Big news flash there. This has been the case for a while now.
Don't act like a manager using him as a backup solution when someone gets injured made this happen.

Re: Isco
I don't necessarily see that much improvement in Isco. He was just as talented when we first got him from Malaga, in my opinion. He defends more now, which is definitely great. Evidently, that's an aspect to his game that he thrives in. He tends to act like a headless chicken sometimes, when all he has to focus on is going forward. Di Maria used to be the same way.

Isco is by no means as headless as Di Maria. He may keep the ball too long sometimes but I've never seen him running into a wall of players

Re: Isco
smh isco was horrible what games were you guys watching? , chilling around the box with benzema, taking more shots, playing zero defense, dribbling into no where, no vision cause he was running about with his head down, and fluked couple goals, stop getting so sucked into his skills
its obvious for everyone to see, that isco has improved his game as CM so much he is elite now, still needs to make some improvement but im sure he will.
