Arsenal v Hull City Preview
Arsenal v Hull City, Saturday 18th October 3pm, Premier League, Emirates Stadium
Arsenal have begun the 2014/15 Premier League campaign in stuttering fashion. In fact, it's Arsenal's joint-second worst start to a season, domestically, under Arsène Wenger. Only in 2011/12 have the Gunners' struggles been more severe at this early stage of a season - and that included an 8-2 loss at Old Trafford and a derby defeat at White Hart Lane. Arsenal took just 7 points from those first 7 games three years ago, and are only 3 points better off now. Now, after home draws with Manchester City and Spurs and a defeat at Chelsea, Wenger's side have a favourable fixture list ahead - one in which Arsenal must take a hefty amount of points from.
"We want to build momentum," Wenger said at Thursday's press conference. "We had a difficult schedule away." On Saturday, Hull City travel to the Emirates Stadium looking to continue their reasonable start; only Manchester City and Aston Villa have defeated The Tigers thus far. Naturally, memories of May's FA Cup Final spring to mind. "We were close to pulling off one of the big shocks in an FA Cup final but it didn't quite happen," Steve Bruce recalled on Friday.
After Hull, Arsenal face Anderlecht (a), Sunderland (a), Burnley (h), Anderlecht (h) and Swansea (a) before Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund travel to London. The next 6 games give Wenger's men a chance to catch up, in the Premier League and the Champions League.
Match Facts
* Arsenal have won their last five Premier League games against Hull City, since losing their first ever PL meeting in September 2008.
* Nikica Jelavic has already equalled his Premier League goal tally from 2013-14 in just seven games this season (4). He played 25 times last season.
* The Gunners have won just one of their last six Premier League matches (W1 D4 L1); this after winning their previous six in a row.
* The Gunners have not lost back to back Premier League matches since January 2013.
* The Tigers have won just one of their last 12 Premier League trips to London (W1 D2 L9), but this victory came in their only trip to the capital this season (1-0 at QPR in August).

Re: Arsenal v Hull City Preview
We really need those 3 points tomorrow, we haven't won at home since the palace game and we are currently 7th in the league so we need the points to kick start our stuttering season. It will be interesting to see how we line up tomorrow, with Ozil and Ramsey injured playing 4-1-4-1 doesn't make sense.Hull have some decent players going forward and we are missing half our team through injury so its points over performance tomorrow. I don't care how perform to be honest as long as we get the 3 points.

Re: Arsenal v Hull City Preview
This could either end well..or very bad.
Match after the international break are weird. Think we will struggle and might concede early on. But we have to get back on track and winning against teams like Hull(who are pretty good this season) would be a good start.
Let's see what tomorrow brings

Good work Sam.
It has been a long break, really missed my team play, I know we missing many players but at home we must really show up and make a easy game.

We just need to keep it tight and 'ordinary' in that defense, and hope to knick one or two goals where we can. Can see this being one of those games where we have to dig deep in the second half to get the win.

Re: Arsenal v Hull City Preview
First 20 minutes were amazing. Referee ruined it after that and Arsenal players got all too sulky
Need to pick it up again.
Bellerin has been impressive. Sanchez and Wilshere very good too.

Re: Arsenal v Hull City Preview
I don't think we give Sanchez enough credit for how good he's been. What he's done I think has been overlooked because of injuries, other players form dipping, some disappointing results.. But man he's been so good. Nonstop flow of quality every 90'
