It can be odd watching something without a coherent theme linking each episode however each self contained episode is well constructed and intriguing. You're left feeling hollow and uncertain after each one which is the mark of a great show.
Or a great night out
Or a Milan game.

Ok so the posts about Black Mirror piqued my interest here and I gave it a shot.
The first episode Very disturbing yet very intriguing. I think it's a must watch. Good find RG

OH MY EFFIN SHIT season 2 episode 2
Just 5 minutes into it and it's an exact sort of dream I've had.
I'll finish and post my thoughts, but wow loving this.

Dat twist though ffs What an episode. Probably the best in the series for me.
For those that have seen it
For those that have seen it
- Spoiler:
- What do you think of that sort of punishment for someone who does a terrible thing? Death seems a million times better than anything like that.

Exactly my reaction as well lol. That was probably the top 3 episodes. Hard to rank the best but it was right up there along with S1 E3(memory recorder)
- Spoiler:
I never saw that twist coming either. That punishment man. I don't know what to think of it. It's like she was stuck in an eternal loop of being punished. Basically how Hell is described in the Religious books. But I did feel sorry for her in the end even if I didn't want to.
It was basically a quick death Vs Suffering before death(if at all) for a serious crime.
Second one is inhumane but isn't that what they deserve after doing the same to others?

I started OITNB but after like 4 episodes I stopped as really didn't get into it.
Maybe I'll give it a go again as it's been getting some hype.

- Spoiler:
It's crazy. Just like you at the end I felt really really bad for her even though what she did to a 6 year old kid was the exact same thing if not worse.
Say if that was my daughter that she did that to, I still can't see myself supporting that sort of inhumane act. Maybe do it to her a couple of times. But that endless loop of punishment is just way over the top for me. A part of me at the beginning would probably say it was fully deserved and I would fund and support the white bear program to continue punishing her for a while. But to continue doing that, I don't know man.
Also did you get the other theme they were trying to convey?
Before the twist when we even figured out the horrible part, did you see what they were trying to tell us? This was also the dream I had that I mentioned.
Basically showing the dark side of today's world in terms of people more interested in filming a difficult situation instead of helping. It's so frickin true, it's insane. Say for example, there is a fight that breaks out and it's 3 on 1 and one kid is getting his ass beat, today so many people would just pull out their phones and film instead of stepping in, it's disgusting.
My dream was basically getting chased by this scary creature and people on the streets just filming it on their phones and no one bothering to help me. It was one of the scariest nightmares I've had. EVER!!!

Re: The TV Series Thread - Part 3
White Bear. Wow.
- Spoiler:
- Certainly I could never condone such a punishment and in real life, there's no way such a park could ever exist. You can't monetise 'justice,' she wasn't just their prisoner, she was a commercial asset and slave. As a punishment once, I can understand how those close to the victim would want to see them suffer what their loved one suffered, but to continue in an endless loop is beyond disturbing. It made for an insane hour of TV though.

Persist with it, trust me, it gets better and better.
2nd season has been immense. It completely improves from the first season.

Watched the first episode of Black Mirror. Should not have seen it right after having dinner, nearly made me vomit. I am willing to look past the lack of realism in the plot to appreciate the moral story of the episode which was absolutely spot on. The acting, directing and musical score all were top notch as well. Thanks RG and others for bringing this show to my attention.
