Re: Champions League 2014/15 | Group B
If our midfield is a problem for us god knows what Liverpool think about theirs. Just the wrong combination all around. Also it doesn't matter if you have wc players everywhere as long as you play as a team. I can definitely see Sterling causing us trouble, not too worried about Sturridge.
Anyways first thing first, both of us have tough away games so lets get those out of the way before we talk about that clash

You said the same bout Dortmund 2 years ago ...typical glory hunters.
Anyways, I didn't watch the game, but seen the highlights and it confirmed my thoughts. No wonder Ludogorets won the treble last season and the season before and are the best Eastern European team at the moment....they're very incisive on the counter and with their main keeper back for other games, will pose a threat to any team.
Since GD in CL doesn't matter, our scrappy 2-1 win counts as much as Madrid's dominant 5-1 win. too bad
That dressing up of mediocre opponents that any top team would have swatted away with no problems, just because LFC struggled.
I'm in tears here

Well apart from the amazing teamwork of 2012-13 Dortmund team, they also had positions covered by players (many) who were superior to ours like Lewa, Gundogan, Hummels, Piszc(f his name)... and a great team overall.

And every Madrid fan realised that only when they outclassed them in those games

Re: Champions League 2014/15 | Group B
If that's what you want to believe, fine. But we knew we were in trouble. Our midfield sucked and we were playing horribly... to go along with the Mou drama. Dortmund had just smacked Bayern around like they were nothing. Most informed Madrid fans knew quite a bit about Dortmund since we had signed Sahin.
Not everyone is oblivious to the world around them like Liverpool

Re: Champions League 2014/15 | Group B
Despite all the Mou drama (which was ridiculously bad at that point) we still almost managed one of the greatest comebacks ever lol.
We are better than Liverpool and honestly I seriously wants us to win both home and away in those games, however just because we are better overall doesn't mean we'll actually win on the night. Liverpool are not some chump team so it's up to us to prove that we are better than them.
However considering that we will have a clasico to prepare for we may actually have to rotate a lot of players.
With that in mind... enter CHACHADORITO

You seriously think Carlo is going to rotate? We went from Mou who over-rotated in some positions... to Carlo who doesn't rotate at all. We are a team of extremes in everything we do

I think even Carlo will have to consider it considering this will be the 2nd most important Clasico of his Madrid career.

Anfield is a special place for anyone to play. What a classy gesture. So happy to be back in the CL the atmosphere will just keep improving.
Liverpool should have signed Remy at least they'd have one WC player on their team IMO. Everyone else is total crap and Madrid will walk us...of course.

Can't wait for Sturridge to tear Ramos a new one. Liverpool will probably still lose but seeing my boy ruin that pretender on the biggest stage will bring me much joy. When you hear clowns like Barton claiming Welbeck & Rooney are better players that pretty much confirms he's still not taken seriously despite his outstanding record.

I'm just excited for Sturridge to play a CL match and stay healthy. I hope it happens. I really think that Sturridge/Balotelli up front together can be a very lethal combination as they gain chemistry.

Apparently Benzema's goal was Real Madrid's 1000th goal in all european competitions . First team to do so , quite an achievement

Re: Champions League 2014/15 | Group B
I'll say a couple of things
I think Ludogorets is going to finish above Basel in this group. They were a nice surprise. Beating the likes of Lazio, PSV, Partizan Dinamo Zagreb and Steaua have given them plenty of confidence over the years in Europe. Madrid will find them a tougher opponent than Basel that's for sure. Should still win though.
As for us, we'll need to play a diamond if we want to stand a chance against bigger teams and that would require Sturridge being fit. Lambert and Borini are not cut out for this level. I don't see us causing too much trouble this season in this competition. Too many players not accustomed to the system, to the pressing, to their teammates. As long we get out of the group, it'll be a success for me. A lucky draw might even see us in quarters. But I feel this has come a couple of years too early for us, just like the title challenge in the league did as well.

Re: Champions League 2014/15 | Group B
Liverpool ARE a great team lol. We respect our opponents, heck we were even wary of Basel forget Liverpool.
If we are going to rotate which I doubt it's going to be in the backline, possibly Coentrao for Marcelo or vice versa or Arbeloa/Nacho for Carvajal. Jese will potentially get his first minutes too. It really depends on next rounds results. If we go into the Liverpool game 2/3 points ahead Carlo is more likely to rotate than if we aren't

LOL What excuse? I said I expect us to ruin you lot.
It's just that you might pull a Ludogorets on us plus El Clasico will be ten thousand times more important for us than our two games.

Pepe will mark Sturridge. Ramos will most likely be on Balo.
