Very industrious, but sometimes didn't produce. Grew into the game more in the second half. He played a great pass that took two players out the game in the build-up to the winner.

Just looking at the Netherlands' group; they're third, six points behind the top two with thee games to go. Looking more and more likely they'll be in the play-offs.

Wouldn't be surprised if they don't qualify at all tbh.

Netherlands are almost out.
It would be second time Netherlands doesn't qualify for a tournament in last 15 years ( WC 2002 ) but I felt it is not really a surprise for this time.
Netherlands 2002 was great .
I 've never rate this Netherlands. Despite the 3rd place in WC. But I've always rated that result as a miracle made in Van Gaal. Easily the worst Netherlands since I follow football (1997).
When I think to France 98 , I wonder if the footbal is regressing ugly. Comparing some NTs at that time with now ( Netherlands unreal team in 98 imo but it's not just for Netherlands ,it's same thing for others, as my Italy for example )

First game were lucky to draw in Albania in last minutes and today they showed they aren't good enough to beat us.
