Decent Summer for Spurs, addressed actual needs for once and moved out a fair amount of dead weight.

Still not a fan of letting Holtby go given that if Eriksen or Lamela go down for any extended period of time who is going to play CAM (Townsend, Lennon, or Chadli rofl)? I would wager given pre-season form and Poch's tendencies with youth he has eyes on Ceballos filling this need should it arise.

However, we were able to get rid of Dawson and Sandro (still have Naughton, Benny, and Lennon ).

However we got the LB we needed, 2 good CB's (1 of which can cover RB removing Naughton), a young stud RB to push Walker (though likely not coming till January due to work permit issues), and a more than durable DM.

That said, not enough to finish in the top 4 without some serious come to Jesus magic by Poch or one hell of a January window. We still need a stud CM (not sure Dembele or Paulinho can do the job in Poch's system), unless Soldado finds his groove we need an actual striker, and a starting left winger (Chadli has been decent lately so I will hold judgment on this one).

Despite all the turmoil Southampton have signed some really good players this season .Dusan Tadic, Graziano Pelle, Fraser Forster, Florin Gardos, Toby Alderweireld and Sadio Mané, and Shane Long.

Same with Swansea both should finish in top 10 this season comfortably

Those Soton signings are damn average lol. A lot of changes in their squad and a manager from a different league at their helm so I don't see them finishing in the top 10 sadly.

Swansea and Monk though have a lot of potential.

Aston Villa are confident of signing Tom Cleverley on loan from Manchester United, according to Sky sources.

Villa are waiting to hear back from the Premier League concerning a last-minute application to take the midfielder to Villa Park for the rest of the season on loan.

It is understood that the two clubs were in talks for much of deadline day as both sought to negotiate a deal.
