Not yet. Lewy is only 1 goal behind him.

Re: Ultimate Robert Lewandowski Appreciation Thread
I've never posted in this thread so you guys probably have had this discussion before.
But where does this man rank amongst the great strikers of the 2010-2019 decade?
I think he is really underrated, because technically he is really really good. But then some could argue that his stat-padding comes because of "Bundesfodder"

40 - Robert Lewandowski has now scored 40+ goals in all competitions in each of the last five seasons:

I don't think he is underrated. Most people unanimously place him among the very best of that decade.
Besides the obvious Messi, Ronaldo and Ibra, the only striker I would be sure to put above him is Suarez.

Better than Aguero?
Also how much better is Ibra than him, if at all?

Re: Ultimate Robert Lewandowski Appreciation Thread
Ibra is out of the question for me. He did it all, he elevated teams by himself.
Aguero? yeah I place Lewandowski above him. Not by much though, and I don't think it matters. It could go either way. Both dominated their leagues, and much of football, for years.

Re: Ultimate Robert Lewandowski Appreciation Thread
And what about Neymar?
okay yea perhaps put Ibra above him just because Ibra has done it everywhere really - that surely counts for something.
Interestingly... I just counted their goals from 2010 to now for their clubs...
With Lewandowski's goal today he is on 228
And Ibra is on 227
if i had to put a rank on it, i guess i would say:
1. Messi
2. Ronaldo
3. Suarez
4. Ibrahimovic
5. Lewandowski
6. Aguero
7. Neymar
8. Aubameyang
9. Higuain
10. Griezmann
edit: replaced Cavani with Higgy

Wasn't counting Neymar as a striker. Better player for sure though.
Also wouldn't place Aubameyang near that list. Higuain and Benzema would definitely be there.

Re: Ultimate Robert Lewandowski Appreciation Thread
actually Higuain is a good shout, totally forgot about him. Only thing i hold against him is that he cost Messi a world cup. And doesnt he also have a reputation for missing big penalties and/or coming up short in finals?
Benzema i never really liked that much tbh. Would put all of Kane and Cavani ahead of him

He'd be easily the Balon d'Or favorite now if this trophy would not have been deleted this year ( terrible choice by FIFA , as if football hasn't been played in these months)

FIFA dont do the ballon D'or, it's France Football.
They did it probably because the French League got cancelled. Shame as Lewa is the real front runner.

Re: Ultimate Robert Lewandowski Appreciation Thread
Man's on 14 CL goals. Still has a very slim chance to break Ronaldo's record of 17 despite having 2 fewer games than normal. Also highest assists in CL so far (5).
An all time great season. Will walk FIFA WPOTY if its still on. I can only see Neymar winning instead if PSG wins CL.

Re: Ultimate Robert Lewandowski Appreciation Thread
He had one goal today but hopefully after today and post RWO's bias against him finally he will be cemented as a fucking CF God that he has been all his career. GL has been harsh to him as a whole.
Deserves the CL that he missed out on in 2013.

Didn't set the world on fire tonight but if FIFA World Player Of The Year is a thing this year he should absolutely 100% walk it.

Re: Ultimate Robert Lewandowski Appreciation Thread
The guy stat padded against Bundesliga scrubs and did some work in the CL group stages. Bayern won in spite of him after the R16.
He'll probably win the individual awards because he's the face of the team though. Early congrats from now.

He really was a non factor against Barca, Lyon, and PSG if we're being honest. His best in CL came against Chelsea in the Round of 16 and in the groups.

Haters. The work he puts in off the ball is vital to this Bayern team functioning, even if he doesnt score he does a whole lot.

Even ignoring that he actually did score and assist against both Lyon and Barcelona

He's easily the WPOTY.
