I know they scored 4 today but why has PSG scored so few goals this season? My first time watching them and aside from that team move for Pastore's winner they were completely toothless outside set pieces.

Ibrahimovic was injured and is clearly past his prime .

Cavani simply didn't step up .

@Gil... the defensive line isn't playing anywhere near as high. They're playing far lower. So the midfield is dropping lower to follow. As a result, the forwards are isolated a lot and the passing distances are much longer.

Blanc is trying to get both Silva and Luiz to play higher. Saw some of that today. But it's still nowhere near what it was last season.

We'll see... i thought Silva looked much better today which is really the key to the whole thing.

7 straight clean sheets for Monaco who won at Lille. Playing better each and every game too... and this with Carvalho, Kurzawa, Bakayoko and Kondogbia all still out. They're playing with Raggi, Toulalan, Moutinho and Berbatov + all U20s It's truly remarkable. They're still in all the competitions and only 2 pts behind PSG.

TS is killing it atm. I think maybe VDW was the problem.

Ibra playing like crap as usual

TS was immense. Bossed the game. Ibra was complete and utter shit and Mr backpass wasn't much better.

Silva is back. Maybe it was VDW... he's not in automatic back-peddle anymore. He's attacking the plays.

As crap as Ibra was, Cavani was worse

Marquinhos is too gifted a defender to be stuck at right back though, however well he is playing. that kid is a monster

he is a good/great striker, but he needs a club that will give him his role and trust him to finish plays for them.

Cavani is a good CF. Its not his fault he gets stuck on the wing when everyone knows he is technically garbage. I swear his forward pass success rate must be at like 20%

I will never forget his horror show at the 2012 olympics, some of the worst performances from a forward i have ever seen. Looked like an amateur player because of his technique lol

he had plenty of chance to play CF this season and the last one too when Ibra was injured .

he just never delivered at or anywhere near  what was expected from him .

and for a supposed great " pure CF " , he misses an awful lot of sitters and one on ones ...

you are the one calling him "pure CF" and what not, not us... He is not the cleanest finisher, so what? Has he shown he can score 30+ goals multiple season? yes.

As a matter of fact, the movements of Cavani when he arrived were by far superior to what i am seeing now.

Everything with strikers is momentum and confidence. Cavani has neither in his role at PSG, so he looks like half the player he has shown he was in the past.

you can't just play him CF for 10 games out of nowhere and expect him to score a goal per game. Do the players around him know how he moves at CF? do they know how to feed him properly? Not to mention that PSG supporting cast in attack in one of he worst for big teams...

Confidence isn't an easy to recover, you guys know that right?

He was a great CF for Napoli and has the tools to recover that form in a different environment nothing will change that.

I think Cavani is still highly rated only in Italy

They all still rate him at 50m lol.

Ibra is also rated extremely highly. I think people simply don't watch a lot of PSG

Ibra had an awful foot injury this season that he has yet to recover from, he looks terrible so far.

Fredric Hermel is reporting right now that PSG is going full strength after Simeone so he can take charge in the summer.

Got to say he can make a much better version of atletico with the players PSG have (and obviously can buy).

Pierre Menes says that the Leonardo/Simeone package is already a done deal based on the word from the PSG players. His question is more whether the players will remain professional knowing that Blanc's fate is already sealed.

he is not saying that it's a done deal. he is just saying that it's the strongest rumour at the moment. Blanc will get sacked no matter what. If Conte can free himself from the Italian NT, with which he is having a conflicting experience so far, he will be up there too.

Wenger's star has dimmed unfortunately... Simeone and Conte are rated higher by PSG and probably most.
