The justification was Rosell trying to high jack the deal, which from what they reported is impossible.

Anyway, it's not true, i will ask Ganso if some paper in Brazil reported the same value, that's usually how things go around. The 56M value looks familiar

The number is high because Barca offered 45 million to his father in which his agent's commission is lowered

Why would Neymar or his father care what the fee is? That all goes to the club. Salary and image rights is the player's concern...

Again, if this is the transfer number, we shouldn't do it at all. It's insane.

Why would they care what the fee is? Because at this point, whichever club pays more will get him. And there's a difference between playing for Madrid and Barcelona obviously.

Salary and image rights aren't his and his fathers only concerns.

They would care because some of that money will go to them. Santos doesnt own 100% of Neymar's rights, so it's their interest to juice up the price as high as they can to guarantee that they get the most money according to their share.

I personally think he will cost us 40M.

I want this guy in Madrid, but 56 million is way too much. I mean, come on, this is a teenager we're talking about at the end of the day. 40 million would be the very maximum, I would prefer less but I know that wont happen.

6 million per year has been a stable fixture in a lot of these rumours though. Maybe that bit they have right.

Kaka had won a ballon d'or and had been WC for several years. He was already a worldwide superstar... Neymar, not so much.

40M is an insane amount too; but probably around the market for Neymar and Hazard. Hazard will go for about 30-35 million is my guess.
