Going by nicks posts, Mou gave the OK check, but it was Perez that was the biggest fan out of them. But like I said Perez will most likely pressure the coach to use him, you dont splash that much money and just bench them

I dont think so, to me, it's a case Perez wanting Neymar, neymar being validated by the scouting department, and mou approving it, you have to be blind not to see the talent.

I dont think Mourinho hand picked him, more like, Mou is pulling on a lot of ropes in madrid, so when the supremo decides to pull himself and it's actually a good idea, you have to let go a bit of that rope.

I'm OK with this. So long as the price is not super ridiculous (50+) then it won't be that bad.

Nerman is super talented and he's going to be relevant to football for years. It makes sense sporting wise and business wise.

Hopefully he can develop a great work ethic when he eventually arrives. Now enough about Nerman until next year LOL.

Ok sorry, Im not familliar with Chelsea stuff. Just that when I was reading about the possible consequences of Santos reporting us for an illegal preagreement, I saw it being compared to the Chelsea thing. Blame the idiot who wrote that article.

Out of curiosity, what was this Kakuta situation?

The Kakuta issue came from the fact that he was under age when he made the transfer meaning that Chelsea never really broke any existing contract (With Lens).

Chelsea signed Kakuta to an actual contract. What is happening with Nerman is at best a pre-agreement and I'm 100% sure that the club is making the situation clear to Santos as well otherwise they would be complaining already.

Pre-agreement =/= Contract and for FIFA to use their (extremely arbitrary) power to punish us an actual contract would have to be signed.

Besides there is more than one precedent of the CAS (court of arbitration for sport) over ruling similar charges by FIFA. Don't worry bro I will eat my hat if we get sanctioned in any way.

He has the highest ceiling in world football. Price is a bit too much, but I am 99% sure that one day we will look back and call this a bargain deal.

This investment is about as risky as a sub-prime mortgage.

The pressure that this kid will feel once he arrives for 10000000000 dollars will seriously affect his development as a football player. Of course, Mou, Flo and the players will reassure him, but at the end of the day, everybody, including Neymar, knows that if he pulls a Robinho, we're screwed.

Personally, I want to see him succeed and grow at another club, before we buy him (if we need to). His price won't get much higher (if at all) once he gets older. Right now, he is worth so much because he is so young, has so much potential and such a high ceiling. In the best case scenario, in the future, he will be older (which means his value is inherently less), fulfilling his potential (the "awe" and "mystery" surrounding his capabilities will be lessened, thus reducing his value) and his ceiling will become much clearer (reducing his value, due to the same reason as before).

The thing is the point of signing young promising players is that they are not as expensive as established stars.

Narman isn't a star yet, there is a good chance he'll become one but he might not. I could live with a 35-40 million euro offer but 60 million is a lot.

But we signed Kaka for 60 million so what do I know LOL.

What if he goes to Barca and is a top 3 player in the world in the a couple years time? we would be banging our heads against the ball and would continue to suffer from their dominance.

I dont even believe that Rosell actually planned a 60M buy, in a FFP year with his debt heavy club, not even planning to take the image rights to make some additional bucks. As unlikely as it gets.

I think that some companies detained a part of his image rights and his contrat so maybe that what make him so expensive.
I don't know what DIS company is refering to but they'll take 40% of the deal.
