Re: #23 - Arturo Vidal
Pavel Nedved assures Juventus “want to keep Arturo Vidal and Paul Pogba,” but sided with Luis Suarez over Giorgio Chiellini.
The former player is now a member of the Board of Directors and spoke to Denik Sport in the Czech Republic.
“Anyone who thinks Antonio Conte resigned due to the transfer strategy is wrong. Our plan is clear: we want to keep all our best players, including Vidal and Pogba.
“We don’t want to sell anyone, especially not Vidal. Of course, if a particularly high offer arrived then we’d have to think about it, but we don’t want to sell our champions.
“We want to be competitive in the Champions League and the only sales will be players who are not part of our plans.”
There were reports in the Italian media last night that Vidal had put his house in Turin up for sale, fuelling rumours of a move to Manchester United.

Re: #23 - Arturo Vidal
So he didn't extend end of last season?
My bad, I read that here http://www.spiegel.de/sport/fussball/antonio-conte-tritt-bei-juventus-turin-zurueck-a-981230.html
Anyway I was just asking, however IF the real reasons were others they would not say it, so statements from board members aren't really that convincing. What are they going to say?

The guy had his chance, now he can pick his place among second tier clubs like Juve and Man Utd.
I remind when Rummenigge pissed off much for transfer of Vidal to Juve in 2011. he was also a Bayern target.
Unfortunately I understood Juve bought a great player after gargage signings as Felipe Melo,Diego etc from those words, Kalle never errs.

Re: #23 - Arturo Vidal
Hoeness and Rummenigge claim we had a verbal agreement with him which he broke.
They then said something like "we do not want players with a bad character like that at Bayern" lol.
Not that I really care, and their faux moral outrage is also always laughable to me, but he chose Juve over us so to pay a lot of money now for him would be unimaginable.
Back then it was something like 15m €, and it's not like we suffered horribly without him.
Pogba however

Wasn't it also that Rudi Völler refused to sell Arturo Vidal to Bayern?

Juve’s Marotta:”Vidal hasn’t asked to leave

Das it
Juventus is at the center of numerous transfer stories, today their executive director Beppe Marrotta gave an update to Sky Sport:”We have started a negotiation for Romulo, there are some details that need to be settled but I hope everything can be settled in 24 hours. Vidal? We have clear ideas, the player signed an extension and he has never expressed the desire to leave.

Re: #23 - Arturo Vidal
I've witnessed far too many transfer rumours to know when a deal is definitely off.
This isn't one of them. Not saying that it now means United are 100% certs to get him.
This saga still has some more ground to cover.

That's mostly down to one fact: there is one thing worse than Italian newspapers, that is, English newspapers. Stupid bullsh*t rumors every day.
I think if MU haven't nailed it so far, they won't do it this year.

I'm following their yearly transfer sagas since about 2010. Sneijder, Fabregas, Thiago, Lucas Moura, Sanchez, Benzema, Hazard, Özil, Kroos. Stuff of legends every year. At the same time astonishing how they can't land even 1 proper world class player, 30 year old RvP aside, given their self perception on Redcafe as the biggest club in the world.

Re: #23 - Arturo Vidal
yeah I watched often the Sneijder thread in 2011.
Of course most United fans wanted him but I remind there were some not because there is Cleverley. Now it seems absurd to think it , he declined much . Oh , also the Dutch tbf
Di Marzio yesterday said " So far there are just rumours about Vidal, no offers. If Juve will receive an offer we'll see , but so far there is nothing "
this also because some days ago Gazzetta wrote about an offer of 60 mln by Manchester United.
I believe in Di Marzio because I don't think Juve would keep him if United offers 60 mln for Vidal . 60 mln .
Considering also the salary doubled to the player, and if you keep a player he would become discontented because he could earn much more . You should renew his contract with increase of salary to bridge the gap , but it's not a strategy that Juve can do ( rightly , Vidal renewed his contract recently)
So , do it LVG .

Tbf to Yanited fans. They didn't want Sneijder, because Roonay was playing AM and Sneijder as a CM would have been a huge waste of everyone's time.

Tbh with absolutely stupid amount of money United is getting from their kit deals alone I wouldn't be surprised to see them throwing Madrid like money at who ever the hell they want.
I mean they are making £750m from Adidas over the next decade alone.. Right ? So why not just bid £80m for Vidal if that's what it takes to sign him. They'll probably still find it hard to spend all the money they take in over the next decade with how mch they are taking in even if they overpay by ridiculous amounts

I didn't remind this but for example I reminded skepticism about the salary , because he earned to Inter how much did Rooney to United and so if he passed to Manchester he would have earned more than all because all the player tend to have a higher salary than before, and so this could create problems, moodiness etc

Because the money will mostly go into the pockets of the Glazers and shareholders on the stock market rather than the sporting unit "doing a Mehdrid".

There is still hope this lad will be a United player.
The only tedious thing is that it's dragging on and on. We are just hopeless when it comes to negotiating for top, top players in demand.

Not sure why this is taking this long. Either get a definitive answer from the player or move on and let the new target settle into the team before the season starts.
These very long transfer sagas almost never happen. Get your business done swiftly and efficiently.

It's annoying way in which United operate in recent times. We're either unwilling to pay the asking or price or pay agent fees. I can't even blame this on Woodward, it was the same under Gill.
