Messi needs to show up against a good opponent though, only made a difference against lesser teams. Feel Germany can toy with Argentina like last WC, of course a bad day can change that.

Argentina are Chelsea 2.0 they will win imo.

Too many chokers on the German team, Schweisteiger, Lahm, Ozil, Boateng etc all of these guys go missing when it's time to finish the job.

Congrats Argentina on the World Cup 2014. The flukiest world cup win of all time.

Germany are slight favorites but not more imo. Said it before. Yes they beat Brazil 7:1. Ok cool story. 2 weeks ago we saw Holland putting 5 past Casillas and tonight they didn't create a single good chance (afair). Those were one offs. Freak games one could say and tactical failures.
I doubt Argentina will try suicide tactics like that.

Of course they crushed Portugal - a team so great they finished behind Russia in the qualifiers and didn't make it past the group stage.
Whatever it's not relevant anyway. We'll have to wait and see but this Argentina team is better than they are rated imo. I underrated them aswell before the WC.

That doesn't mean we'll win it though IF Argentina can step it up a bit.

Pretty sure every Brazilian will cheer for Germany, they aren't mad at Germany as much as they're ashamed of their own NT. That's at least what I'm hearing.

Good point. if Germany wins the WC then the Germany-Brazil game will be made eternal as a showcase of German prowess, if Germany loses the final it would be dismissed as a fluke

Argentina can do this. They have the defensive discipline, they have the battling qualities, they have leadership and they might have just about enough quality.

If they defend like today, 2 solid banks of hard working 4 with a low line, they have a fair chance.

I am a bit worried about Höwedes, again.

Basically the only meaningful attacking move Argentina had for the first 60 minutes or so was sending Lavezzi on runs on the right side who crossed it in for Higuain.

They might just try that again, and watch Höwedes not be able to deal with it.
