Great article on why Debuchy was picked ahead of Aurier

Just don't expect him to have a wife who can replace Sagna's.
He's probably better looking than she is

Re: Our New Right Back: Mathieu Debuchy
He will most likely now join Spurs, convert that love for us into hatred like Electro in TASM2. And then he will kick start a rivalry with Wilshere.

Re: Our New Right Back: Mathieu Debuchy
We apparently had Aurier on our list to replace Debuchy, sounds like we are going for Janmaat. (cheap options hooray!)
Wouldn't have any idea where he's going now, don't seem to be any strong links anywhere else.

Re: Our New Right Back: Mathieu Debuchy
I wouldn't mind taking Aurier as well if no ones keen. I suspect Toulouse were getting a bit greedy on the price after he impressed at the world cup, but signing Debuchy will probably bring them back down to earth, I cant see them getting their asking price from Newcastle.
Anyway I told you all to chill on the transfer woes .. its a new age.
Hopefully we can confirm Sanchez next week.

Re: Our New Right Back: Mathieu Debuchy
I would sell or loan Jenkinson to Newcastle and buy Aurier also.

Re: Our New Right Back: Mathieu Debuchy
Cant see us buying two new RBs in one summer
unless we view him as versatile utility player to cover LB or Defensive winger when needed as i suggested
but why would he come if aint guaranteed starter
highly unlikely

Re: Our New Right Back: Mathieu Debuchy
No to Aurier for now, that's 8 mil wasted on position we don't need to stack. If that 8 mil is what needed to price out Sanchez from Barcelona against Juventus, better spend there.
