Re: Summer of 2014: Part 2
While I would prefer a bit more fire-power, neither of Remy or Bony (GBP 20 million! Really!!) appeals me. However, my greatest frustration is regarding the progress (or the lack of it, actually) in strengthening the LB & CB positions. I will be really pissed if we end up with Lovern & Davis.

Re: Summer of 2014: Part 2
I woundt mind Lovren and Davis, if we are able to somewhat balance it with one of the existing CB's transfer or I wont mind keeping them all including Lovren, Kolo out we dont need him this season. I still think that Skrtel, Sakho and Agger will perform much better than last season.
So Mourinho's last year was the only year without a trophy from 2003 Carlo is going to get better of him on CL, so he not gonna win CL and Pelle has so much firepower and now that he has last year's exp on his CV. I think Mou wont win EPL also. So he has to be satisfied with FA or CC.

Re: Summer of 2014: Part 2
I would take Lovren and Davies as long as Skrtel is the one leaving. Maybe I'm sentimental, but I don't want to see a heart and soul scouser like Agger leave.
Remy would be an awful signing for many reasons, but it is what it is. If Lacazette is available he's better in almost every way. Also Remy doesn't score as much as Bony, and isn't as good of a player.
Of the strikers we've been linked to Lacazette and Bony are definitely the most appealing. Hopefully one of them ends up being the catch.

RA keep on blowing Mou . It's like if anhewish person adores Hitler. Baffling and makes no sense whatsoever. Looking forward for "tactically average" BR finishing ahead of "Taxtical genius" Mourinho with an inferior squad for the second year running. Maybe then, he will join Shed and Kick and them in the Chelsea section.

Re: Summer of 2014: Part 2
For Agger I guess there are more than emotional reasons that he should stay, he may not be himself WC but he can perform better along a top class defender. Also I think he is vocal enough to lead our backline, so the much needed leader in our backline will be missing if he goes.

@TonyBarretTimes: Sunderland have agreed a fee with Liverpool for Fabio Borini. The deal will be worth up to £14m if Borini can agree personal terms.

Echo - #LFC are prepared to trigger the £8m release clause for Remy and are locked in talks with his representatives over personal terms.

Remy scored 14 in 26 games last season for arguably the least creative team in the league.... awful signing lol.

I'd take Remy over Bony everyday of the week and twice on Sunday. It's a no brainer.

Ah yes, and Andy Carroll scored 11 goals in 20 games for Newcastle the year we bought him too.
Bony is such a better player than Remy it's not even funny.
Can't wait til we get Remy and all he does is cause problems and be average. All you have to do is actually watch him play to see he's not Liverpool quality.

Re: Summer of 2014: Part 2
Bony has scored tons of goals at every level, and just scored 25 goals in his first season in the EPL. He's also younger, and projectable because he brings a lot more to the table than Remy does in hold up play, linking up and set pieces on top of being a wonderful poacher and physical presence up front.
Bony is better and it's not even close.

Re: Summer of 2014: Part 2
lol first of all he's scored only 16 in EPL, in 34 matches.
Remy has 14 goals in 26 matches in EPL.
Don't count garbage goals in Europa League against Petrolul and Kuban etc as worthy.
Secondly, Remy >> Bony in our style of play and it's not even close.

Re: Summer of 2014: Part 2
I agree with Bony being a better signing than Remy. Remy atmost brings a versatile presence upfront which isnt needed considering the amount of players we already have that can be shunted wide, Nothing else there to convince me Remy is superior than Bony.
I would spend on Bony than Remy.

Re: Summer of 2014: Part 2
Very very very happy that we're selling Borini for 14m and getting Remy for 8m. VERY HAPPY.
Remy is a very very capable back up to Sturrdige. Very very very great value at 8m.

Kudos mate, same here. Once a player is signed I'm fully behind them. No matter how much I flogged them off prior to them signing.
