Well, I hope it is indeed a flu in the sense of a cold as tropical viral diseases usually start with flu-like symptoms, too.

Re: Last 16: Algeria (H2) vs Germany (G1)
Actually there are quite some tropical diseases where there are no vaccinations. Against those only staying away from mosquitos helps - but if you have to train outside, this is not always possible (btw, there is no vaccination available against Malaria either and the prophylactic meds have heavy side-effects like nausea, vertigo, hallucinations and lots more which would be counterproductive for athletes.)

Yeah, but still it is a real problem that there are quite some tropical diseases around. I really hope it is nothing serious. (The area where the NT is located is a region where dengue fever is endemic: http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Denguefieber )

They needed to score from their early chances, I'm afraid they will now be too tired to win the game in the 2nd half.

No bad teams at this world cup, except Cameroon. Who would have guessed that Germany would be struggling against Algeria, France with Nigeria, Argentina with Iran and Italy/Uruguay with Costa Rica?
Fantastic World Cup.

Re: Last 16: Algeria (H2) vs Germany (G1)
Okay, some quick futbol 101 for Löw:
Özil is not a left winger (punting crosses into the box to no CF
).
Both fullbacks are actually both centerbacks.
= no proper wingplay + shit defending.
Lahm, Kroos, Schweinsteiger lack all sort of dynamism, speed, dribbling ability and flair to create something.
Kroos can shove his long shot up his arse. He's scored 3 goals last season in 44 games.
Bring on Klose.
That is all for now.

Werder Bremen disagrees with your first point.
The rest I agree with.
