nah... thats just typical german stupid, obnoxious, negativity in media.
Whenever someone is still a underdog they are loved and hyped but beware if they do indeed archieve something and god forbid become recognized or even famous and (uh bad! rich!/wealthy) then the whole machinery of negativ and smart-ass comments comes at you.


I did dislike it while I was still living there, now that I am in a country that handles stuff like this completely different I completly fail to comprehend the purpose of this. Just one major thing in german mentality that I disliked enough to leave the country...

Anyway, Algeria needed to score from one of their first-half attacks, but their final ball or shot kept being poor. Neuer was outstanding. Had Algeria scored, then their counter-attacking tactics would have started to work even better. The longer the game stayed goalless and the more the players tired and the more difficult counter-attacking got, the more likely the Germans were going to win it.

I still can't figure out what Löw is "trying" as soon as Lahm moved more into the position he usually plays all the sudden he created chances...
I am probably just to uninformed and to much of a tactics noob to understand the deeper meaning of Löws intension ...

Hoping for the team to be "team enough" to survive France.

I guess the better team won, but Algeria definitely had their chance to cause a major upset, it was only poor finishing and extraordinary goalkeeping that kept them from doing that.

Although Algeria's keeper deserves a shout out, too, some great saves.

I have very much respect for the algerian team and to blame it on bad german play as the reporter did with Mertesacker is just failing to show the Algerians the well deserved respect for their game.

I was watching it in a big crowd in a public viewing place yday and most of the boys started having problem when girls started shouting for Neuer as if he is their first love

Yes at least Rais had some defenders around him even if they did nothing most of the times but Neuer had vacuum all around him for as far as he could have possibly seen.

I felt pretty much like being 14 and having a crush on someone for the first time plus catching myself with the thought taking a banner to the France/Germany game if I watch in public: Manu, ich will ein Kind von dir (I do not know how that translates correctley into english - Manu, I want to have your child (sounds a bit psycho... omg!))
