Yohan Modric wrote:It doesn't matter if WWE have better entertainers nowadays. It's not the roster that's the problem. It's the actual product. If prime WCW existed right now, who would get better ratings, WWE or them? Clearly WCW. Would WWE improve if WCW existed right now? Yes they would. Would that imply the product isn't good enough? Clearly.

But right now they have no competition, so they play it safe and cater to kids and women, which is why it sucks. As I said, to most people WWE is the only game in town. TNA doesn't exist. So regardless of how poor the product is, people will still watch. That's how they make money. They have no competition and they do what's adequate. The product right now could be better, but they don't need to make it better.

Running the Company this way is the reason why WCW doesn't exist and why TNA is trash lol. Vince has done it all. He has no competition because he killed it. Now he is making money because of that. It's different times man. You just have to live with it. You are living in the past.

There will be NO other WCW ever again. Vine has made sure of that. This is how WWe will be unless RAW etc are getting Serie A attendance and people completely stop watching it on TV. And they won't. Because as bad as the product might be, it's still entertaining for people.

back in the days, wrestling was the shit. It wasn't sports entertainment but pure wrestling. Top class matches all around. Because it was the peak of wrestling. Same in Attitude Adjustment era. People would boo the shit out of el shittyco n co because they wanted hardcore blood filled gore wrestling. But that won't work today. All the kids will be gone. All the women will be gone.

But, you might ask if it will get new people in? No it won't because people actually know wrestling is fake compared to the 90s etc as everyone thought people actually wanted to kill each other.

niccah, times, they are a changing.

Each freaking RAW is over 3 hours long, they should cram in some more attitude era, give us more gimmick matches likes TLC and all that, and give us some crazy moments.

Lol they can't make it TV14 for an hour and PG for another. If people paying tickets, they stay all 3 hours.

But thankfully they are at least using better words than poopy pants and 'silly fool'.

There's no such thing as 'living in the past'. Pro wrestling has fundamentals that should always be followed. That's like saying footballers shouldn't do something they did in 1998 because it's 2014. Fundamentals always exist. No one's telling them to return to the attitude era. But there were certain things then, that there should still be here now, that aren't.

Also no, that's not why WCW doesn't exist. WCW doesn't exist because they got blown away by WWE and they decided to quit. Does WWE have any competition to get blown away by? No.

I'm just saying if WCW existed right now, would WWE improve? Yes they would. Vince makes money off of women and kids and because WWE is the only name that people recognise. No one's saying they should return to the attitude era.

The product right now just isn't good enough, because it caters towards kids and women. It's nothing to do with the times.

After moving CM Punk off the main roster to their Alumni roster on Tuesday, WWE has now removed Punk’s merchandise listing off their shop website. Some Punk items can be found through different areas of the site but even the search function shows no Punk results.

The streak apparently ended because it would be good for the WWE network, according to JR on his podcast:

JR added that the decision was made by Vince four hours before the show started AND that he and Taker had a meeting where he had to convince Taker it was time, it was best for business and would be good for the network.

WWE is watched by 15 million fans each week in the United State alone. Our diverse audience spans generations of fans. Approximately 35% of WWE's audience is female and 24% are under the age of 18.

It appeared this week that Sting had reached a deal with WWE other than the video game deal as the company began selling new Sting merchandise once the game announcement was made. The Wrestling Observer reports that there is still no deal signed as of Wednesday but both sides are still working towards getting it signed.

The Sting likeness used on the new merchandise was considered intellectual property of WCW, which WWE purchased in 2001, and WWE believes they have the rights to merchandise it now.

There are rumors that more WWE cuts were made within the last week. We may be hearing confirmation on a departure soon and it’s been reiterated by a source that WWE recently told all department heads across the company to make cuts.

Partial source: PWInsider

Even more cuts. Laughing

Hulk Hogan is coming back to Raw.

Six days before SummerSlam, Raw takes place in Portland, Oregon at the Moda Center and "The Hulkster" has been tapped as the host for the evening.

This was announced Wednesday on the Moda Center's Twitter account.

Hogan's appearance is also being advertised on the venue's official website.

Hogan last appeared on Raw on the night after WrestleMania 30 to present The Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal Trophy to Cesaro.

Of course people live in the past in IWC. You of all people should know this. How many times do people cry that they wish Attitude Era was back? And why are you comparing scripted sport to football? Completely different things. The wrestling fundamentals would go as basic wrestling. Which will always be there. 'OTT gimmick matches' and 'swerves every week' aren't fundamentals. They are what you would like personally.

Also no, that's not why WCW doesn't exist. WCW doesn't exist because they got blown away by WWE and they decided to quit. Does WWE have any competition to get blown away by? No.

Isn't that what I just said lol?

I'm just saying if WCW existed right now, would WWE improve? Yes they would. Vince makes money off of women and kids and because WWE is the only name that people recognise. No one's saying they should return to the attitude era.

WWe is the only name the recognise because Vince made it sure that's the name they recognise. Of course there would be room for improvement. It's natural to expect more. But why should Vince change anything?

He isn't going to get competition out of thin air. He knows where the money is.

The product right now just isn't good enough, because it caters towards kids and women. It's nothing to do with the times.

Again, that's your opinion. Women and Kids love the product now. You don't. Big difference. You want them to change it for you. But there is a bigger picture out there brah.

Basically if WWE keep having to make cuts and backroom staff are leaving as a result, then something will change because it has to. But until then get used to el dorito shaving hornswoggles pubes or whatever

John Cena is not advertised for the July 21 post-Battleground RAW in Miami, FL nor 8/4 Raw in Austin, Texas so it appears he will be missing two of the four Raw TVs building to SummerSlam.

Cena is currently filming the Judd Apatow film "Trainwreck" and will also miss the WWE Australia tour due to filming commitments.

Well they really have to tone down on mentioning Putin imo. They probably are thinking how to run this feud with keeping politics far out of it. Eventhough that's difficult.

Unlucky Swagger.
