For which they made up for it and literally had to pay a premium when Perez took over. Hell, the club was so generous in giving Milan 60+ million for a crocked massively injury prone world class football in Kaka, think us Madrid fans could at least sit on a pony when talking about this issue (only Bilbao and Nott Forrest fans of the 70's could really sit on a high horse when it comes to transfers). Until Barcelona pay Arsenal what they want and stop low balling, don't expect anything less...

The Cristiano deal is miles different than the Fabregas saga. First off, 1 president did it dirty, not the whole team. 2nd is we payed what they asked. Barca could have sealed the Fabregas deal if they just payed the 40m price.

I don't know what the OP is trying to show, becouse he is dead wrong. CR deal went smooth and nice and the Fabregas saga has been going on in 3(?) years and has been pissing off the Arsenal fans all the time, atleast we did it nice for the Man U fans with the money.

It's quite similar actually until you look at the end result: One club paid the amount asked while the other is low balling. That is and until something happens, would tend to be the combo breaker in this argument.

As for posters saying these two deals are so different, there not. Every deal is different to an extent but as far as big deals go these are very similar.

Barca has chased Cesc for 2 years.

Madrid Chased Ronaldo for 2 years.

Both players claimed they wanted to play for there favorite childhood club.

The dealings during the transfers strained the relations between the two clubs.

Both players had an unhappy season the year after the chase began although Ronaldo was sensational.

Both clubs got there ass beat by Barca in the Champions league, Kidding, but not really.

Xavi/most of Barca spoke about Cesc to the press and egged the situation on.

Calderon did the same.

Some Madrid fans say they didn't like it when there team did it.

Some Barca fans said the same.

The only difference is Madrid paid up and got Ronaldo. The transfer window is not closed if you had not noticed, so if Barca get Cesc then they paid what it took to get him, right?

The difference is still that we didn't get so dirty in the media for it. Did we call Sir Alex a pedophile? Did we say Ronaldo has Real Madrid DNA? We payed his huge price and we continued. These deals are uncomparable unless you pay yours, since you've had a price set for 2 years now and it has always been the same, but you refuse to pay and that's why it has gone on now for 2 years. As soon as we got a price we payed for it, we weren't shitheads about it.
