Re: World Cup: Group G discussion
I'd better not make a bet as I can only lose as my bets always come out disfavourable for me (If I bet for Germany to win and my usual bet streak holds, they would lose, which in turn would make be lose as I don't want Germany to lose, but if I'd bet against Germany, then I guess the jinx would likely backfire as it would have been too obvious and I'd lose again). So - nooooo. No bets here.

Absolutely fantastic match. Ghana should have made it 3-2. Wakaso is an idiot.

Another fantastic game of football in this tournament. End to end stuff in the 2nd half. I feel a bit sorry for Ghana, they've been playing well in two games now, but have only got a point to show for it and need other games to go their way now if they are to progress.
Also, Klose

1 point from 2 games, they should have got at least 4.. Really sorry for Ghana, they are pretty much out with this now.
Another amazing game though, one of the best WC-s in the past decades.

Ghana could have actually won that match.
2 huge opportunities wasted.
anyway great game. fair result in the end may be. Even the mighty Germans are vulnerable so..
huge relief knowing that.

As long as Portugal and Germany beat USA and Ghana beats Portugal they'll make it through. Wishful thinking perhaps, but not as far fetched as some are saying.

Re: World Cup: Group G discussion
Kinda glad this upset happened because I wanted to see how the team reacts to going a goal down which I thought they did well but kept missing chances which is worrying and keeping everyone on ground after a "perfect" win against Portugal.
Well played Ghana, I knew they would make it hard for Germany just as in 2010.
Lastly, congratulations to Klose for equalling Ronaldo's world cup record and such an important goal aswell!

Agree completely
Re: World Cup: Group G discussion
In a normal boring wc otherwise Ghana would have had still realistic chances to progress if we look at the remaining fixtures in this group. But certainly not in this GOAT (
) one
Their chances indeed look slim now.And especially when considering we have a concaf in the group

Agreed. And its actually really possible imo
Portugal comes out blazing tomorrow, not wanting to get eliminated and slightly edge out USA. Would make for Germany:4- Portugal/USA:3 - Ghana:1
Then on final day, Germany beats USA and Ghana beats Portugal = Germany:7- Ghana:4- USA/Portugal: 3
I don't know why everyone keeps thinking Germany is just gonna lay down for the USA and play its weakest side for the USA on the final day. Germans have allot of pride and a loss is a loss. Especially vs the USA, and especially because it's being lead by Klinsmen. And especially after the performance they put up today, they will want to look sharp going into the knock stages. Especially if Portugal win tomorrow, then Germany could still get knocked out.
OF COURSE, all this is irrelevant if USA win or draw lol

Re: World Cup: Group G discussion
Excellent game! Especially the second half. The players left everything on the field. You can see how exhausted they were afterwards.
Both Germany and Ghana
Also Klose
But he's just holding the record for Muller though.

Re: World Cup: Group G discussion
as soon as I saw that Mustafi is going to come, I had just joked today, Mustafi is going to do some mistake and cost 1 goal today
our strikerless system is going to be a problem in one of the games in KO rounds...i hope we will be able to recover from that with Klose's introduction .
