Re: World Cup: Group D discussion
Well, England are playing absolutely shit. No movement, no idea, no rhythm. Rooney as number 10 is so much fail and Welbeck shouldn't be on either.
Hodgson out.
Hodgson out.

Re: World Cup: Group D discussion
Get gerrard the hell out this team. He is finished.
Johnson and sturridge have both been shet too.
Rooney struggling too, but not as bad as the aforementioned

I think England should lose to Costa Rica on purpose just to spite Suarez

Someone put Gerrard in the witness protection program after this, won't be able to show his face any more.

Re: World Cup: Group D discussion
We can't defend at all, and don't have the cohesive attack that'll allow us to just outscore opponents. Every goal we've conceded in this tournament has been a product of shoddy defending; players not stopping crosses, players not marking runners, lack of concentration, lack of organisation, etc. Give top strikers like Balotelli and Suarez chances like those and they take them.
Offensive problems are obvious. We've got a front four that's too detached from the midfield two, meaning we can't sustain pressure, and the front four itself is wasteful. There's a CF on one wing and another CF playing on the other wing or behind the striker. Actual midfielders and creative talent is sat on the bench and brought on the in the second half as it becomes obvious the initial team is failing.
Hodgson's team selections have been an absolute joke. What do you get from Welbeck on the left? What do you get from Rooney on the left or behind the striker? How has he not seen that at Liverpool Gerrard and Henderson always have a third midfielder to help them? He took the right squad, but now that we're here he's ballsed up completely.
Now need Italy to beat Costa Rica and Uruguay, and for us to beat Costa Rica to go through. Can't see it happening somehow.
