Looks GOAT in every facet, especially the visuals you can't even tell the difference between cut scene and gameplay

Well that was a waste of time, 36 mins of gameplay and it's taken down

Lolz.
Watching a playthrough atm and it doesn't seem that bad tbh. Although I like this type of game tbf and the setting appeals to me. Pretty much all the criticisms are fair though.

Sacrilege! The historical setting may be more interesting, but from what I hear this game has only a few hours worth of gameplay, lots of quicktime events and zero replayability. If the game had been half as good as The Last of Us, it's shortcomings might've been somewhat acceptable, but I highly doubt that's the case with The Order 1886.

Re: The Order: 1886
The general feeling before the game got released was exactly the same as the feeling post-release. It won't do well when you have a cut scenes for hours with little gameplay and insane amount of QTE.
The story apparently lacks conviction, characters are one dimensional and the whole game screams of Heavy Rain 2.0 but not even as good.
Disappointed it flopped but not a huge surprise.

Re: The Order: 1886
I think the story is decent from I watched of the lets play yesterday. Combat seems disappointing outside the half breed fights though, it has a lot more gameplay than Heavy Rain does but still it's not enough to cover the shortcomings.

The game is already being sold for £35 at places. Few months and you can buy it for £25. Another few months and it will be free on PS+

Re: The Order: 1886
Will def pick it up when the price is cheap. no SP less than 10 hours is worth full price imo.

That's the plan.

So Uncharted isn't worth full price

Re: The Order: 1886
I'm enjoying it, probably because I've rented it lol. Stylish as hell, interesting setting, good characters and the story is holding my interest enough so far, about 2.5 hrs in I'd say, yeah there's 3 minutes of cutscenes for every 10 minutes of gameplay but tbh I'm not that bothered. decent filler game to pass the time.

Re: The Order: 1886
Picked first Uncharted a few years after it's release. Second and third it took me around 10-12 hours to finish & those 2 had MP aswell.Great Leader Sprucenuce wrote:RealGunner wrote:The game is already being sold for £35 at places. Just not a fan of splashing full price for SP only games that can be completed in like 5-6 hours lol

Re: The Order: 1886
I know Uncharted has MP but let's be honest most people buy it for the story. I think it depends on the quality of the game personally, I have no problem paying full price for a Bioshock level game for example.

Re: The Order: 1886
Uncharted takes you in, makes you love who you're supposed to love, hate who you're supposed to hate and make you feel like you're a part of an epic movie ffs
Quality is indeed > Quantity however Uncharted if you play it on a proper difficulty and don't rush through (again, you can't on a higher difficulty) it still takes a fair chunk of time
This looks like it'll be a one night run through type of game that you'll be disappointed with even if you sort of enjoyed it.
