Re: Game Of Thrones - Part 4 - *NO BOOK TALK - READ THE RULES*
I won't go into the other thread So I'll post this here
Game of Thrones author George RR Martin says he has no plans to write an eighth book in the Song of Ice and Fire saga.
He's told Entertainment Weekly that, at the moment, he's sticking to seven volumes of the story.
But he also thinks TV producers' plans of making seven series won't be enough to fit in all the detail in his books.
"I don't think it will be enough to tell the story we're telling in the books," he said. "But first I have to finish Book Six."
Although Martin says his plan is to finish seven books and no more, he says he's made plans like that before and things have changed.
"My original plan was to finish in three," he said.
"I write the stories and they grow. I deal with certain things and sometimes I find myself not at the end of a story. My plan right now is still seven."

I wonder how will the TV Show translate AFFC and ADWD considering they take place at the same time but different places (am I right in saying this?).
And AFFC is said to be weakest book of them all so there won't be too much action, can they merge them to one season? ADWD is supposed to be huge though.

Re: Game Of Thrones - Part 4 - *NO BOOK TALK - READ THE RULES*
No spoilers in here but putting a spoiler tag anyways for those who want to avoid everything related with the books. Once again, no spoilers
Urban
Urban
- Spoiler:
TV show will just show the events of AFFC and ADWD together like normally. It doesn't matter if the events are separate geographically. They still happen at the same time so it's easier for the TV Show to go from places to places.
For example Sansa's arc is 95% done. They took parts of it from AFFC while Bran's arc is 80% done from AFFC as well. They are already using Daenerys' stuff from ADWD.
If TWOW doesn't get released before season 5, then we will see events in season 5 that will be spoilers for the book readers (tables turned )
Also AFFC is not the weakest book. People complain for no reason. I loved AFFC chapters. But there is hardly any action past ASOS because AFFC is mainly character building along with ADWD

Very nice, thanks for the great explanation RG. I can't wait until I finish ASOS, want to know the feeling of not knowing what's going to happen while reading!

You should read the combined version of A Feast For Crows and A Dance With Dragons which is unofficially called A Ball Of Beasts. It makes for a MUCH more satisfying read. The pacing is a lot better and all chapters are arranged chronologically so you won't ever be confused on the timeline.

What they didn't mention at all in the show for this season was that Oberyn crippled the heir of Highgarden along time ago. Loras and Margaery's oldest brother Willas.

Episode 9 tends to be a classic, super excited for this.

I've been putting off watching this episode for as long as possible because I knew what was coming. Gotta say knowing what would happen didn't help one bit because I was dejected by the end of the episode
Game of Thrones is still awesome though
Can't wait for the next one.

Can't believe it's the 2nd last episode.
Thinking of watching it online live because some pos half spoiled it on twitter.
But then, it's going to be based on the fight at castle black when it's night so I would need HD tv to actually see.

Blackwater was also at night. Those cheap budget saving bastards. Probably to see some dragons in the 10th episode.

Budget running low? Just put some fabric wings on a horse and suspend it over the stage. Few lighting/angle tricks and you have your dragons.
