Was thinking of that too. Punk needs to return soon. Sad

Payback is in Chicago though, all those Punk chants.

A new line-up for WWE’s July 12th Madison Square Garden live event has Daniel Bryan defending the WWE World Heavyweight Title against Triple H in a Street Fight. The previous line-up had both Bryan and Triple H removed from the event.

Also advertised for the show is John Cena vs. Bray Wyatt, Randy Orton vs. Sheamus for the United States Title, plus appearances by Mark Henry, Fandango, Dolph Ziggler, The Usos, Ryback, Big E and Santino Marella.

He's right tbh. Also if Bryan is legit out for 2 months surely he will be stripped of the title lol? I'm not hating here just surely you can't go without your World Champ for 2 months?

WWE Diva AJ Lee is not expected to make her WWE return until after her wedding and marriage to CM Punk which takes place next month.

The plan was originally for Lee to be back either in late May or early June.

Come on lol, how you gonna do PPVs without your world champion there? Would be unprecedented if he is legitimately injured.

PPVs without a single major title defence (Considering the only 2 legit ones are merged) could flop tremendously unless they have great stories spread over several feuds.

Which, they don't.

Punk was injured back in 2012 and the title wasn't defend at the TLC PPV. Plus it's not like Bryan's in the only main storyline or anything. Shield/Evolution or Cena/Wyatt can main event.

Bryan probably would have faced Kane at the next PPV at Payback and won again and then probably won after that at MITB. If he's lucky he could be back by MITB. Either way all of these are B+ PPV's anyway and regardless of the title WWE storylines suck until around July time.

I'm sure WWE will think of something. Maybe something similar to what happened with Punk when he 'left' in 2011? Bryan refuses to hand over the title, so because they don't want to strip him, they introduce a new WWE WHC title. Then when Bryan comes back he faces the champion and wins.

PWMania.com reported that WWE had an offer on the table for Ric Flair to return to TV in a more prominent role. Flair was scheduled to go to Pittsburgh this week to see Dr. Joseph Maroon for a full cardiovascular physical before WWE brings him back to TV as a regular character. Flair has been working out and wants to get to 225 pounds before returning to TV. He’s currently at 230.

There’s a feeling that Flair has to come in as a babyface but he always prefers to work as a heel so there’s on word yet on what role he will play. One idea suggested was to put Flair with The Miz to continue the storyline they began several months ago when Miz began using the Figure Four after Flair’s blessing. The hope is that Flair will help elevate Miz as a top babyface. There are some who believe this could be wasting Flair and that Miz is damaged goods.

Flair reportedly wants to manage Dolph Ziggler but it’s clear WWE hasn’t been pushing Ziggler for more than a year now. They also discussed having Flair manage The Shield to continue the angle from RAW a few weeks back but Evolution’s future is up in the air.

With the most recent deal that Flair signed with WWE, they still have to approve all of his appearances. A problem could be brewing as there are reportedly negotiations, which could easily fall through, for an overseas wrestling tour that would see flair actually wrestling in the ring.

It’s been reported several times since WrestleMania XXX and even before, by numerous sources, that Sting officially signing with WWE was imminent. Now that it still hasn’t happened, the feeling is that imminent is no longer the word to describe the situation.

You may remember Sting revealing in an interview that he indeed had talks with WWE a few years ago and that he came close to signing. There was a deal in place a few years back where WWE believed Sting was coming in for 100 dates. This may have been the deal Sting revealed in the interview but he ended up not taking WWE’s deal and as we know, went with TNA’s deal instead. Hopefully this isn’t another instance of Sting coming close to signing with WWE but backing off with a deal on the table.

At last word, Sting is still scheduled to work on several WWE Network and DVD projects.

Before WWE World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan had neck surgery last Thursday, WWE was looking at the Money In the Bank pay-per-view on June 29th for his return but the latest word from within WWE is that he may not be back in time for that pay-per-view.

WWE creative has been working on a new MITB card as a contingency plan in case Bryan isn’t back by then. SummerSlam in late August is said to be a worst case scenario. If Bryan doesn’t return at Money In the Bank, the next event would be Battleground on July 20th.

It’s said that this neck surgery may be the beginning of serious, long-term problems for Bryan. Several top stars from the past noted to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Bryan should start toning down his style.

We noted before that there was a lot of talk within WWE about Bryan changing his in-ring style when he returns. Some people have suggested that Bryan give up his missile dropkick, the diving headbutt and the topes because of the way he lands when doing them.

Punk was gone for 3 weeks, and they were not gonna scrap his angle with The Rock that they invested so much in just for 3 weeks. Bryan's return on the other hand could stretch to months, and rushing him back to action would be stupid. Plus stripping him of the title makes sense story line wise and would spare him and us from yet another title defense against Kane.

I say strip him off the title and make a huge return story out of it when he's %100

Feel sorry for Bryan, a legit neck injury like that happening when you're starting the prime of your career is bad. Hopefully his style isn't impacted too much. Although he could always swap a few moves like the flying headbutt for more technical moves.

Bryan's moveset has been watered down in recent years so I'm sure he's got plenty of moves he can swap.

Best thing might be for Bryan to refuse to hand over the titles and the authority introduce a new WWE title. Then Bryan comes back to unify them and win. That makes no one look weak.

Nah lol

You want a 3rd new title, which would have less prestige than the Divas title. Then you want to merge that with the already merged WWE WHC? Making Bryan out to be some sort of title black whole that sucks in all the belts into one singularity called the

It wouldn't be a different title, it would be an exact replica of the WWE WHC. Just like how Punk left with the title and they had a tournament and introduced a new WWE title belt. Then when he came back they unified it back to one title.

WZ has learned several backstage WWE plans and opinions regarding talents currently grabbing the attention of management.

To no surprise, Roman Reigns, Bray Wyatt and Bad News Barrett are the three favorites among Vince McMahon, Triple H, Kevin Dunn and others. One source said it's a race to see which of those three gets the world title first.

In terms of future plans and winning a world title, Reigns is almost guaranteed that his winning of his first world title will be special and done at a WrestleMania. Assuming things stay the course, it's very likely that could be next year at WrestleMania 31. As far as who he would work with, the two names that keep coming up are Brock Lesnar and The Rock.

Lesnar is an option but WWE is also considering other potential opponents for him at 'Mania. The Rock has expressed to McMahon personally that he wants to work with Reigns before he retires. On an interesting note, I mentioned to one source The Rock, and it being a title match, which would mean Rock would have to get the title going into WrestleMania and the source responded with "Yes, it would likely happen at Royal Rumble and remember he does technically have a rematch from when he lost the title to Cena."

WrestleMania 31 is still so far away that a lot can happen and many ideas will come across the table, but it seems barring injury or anything big that would get Reigns off-course, he's slated to be the babyface WrestleMania 31 gets built around.

On Facebook yesterday, Mick Foley linked to part 2 of his Global Force Wrestling video blog and wrote the following:

"The first part got some great feedback, and I think this one will too. As long as we live in a world where Dolph Ziggler can't get a push, there need to be options for aspiring wrestlers."

Foley later wrote a follow-up on Twitter:

"The purpose of my post. I'm not to suggest that @HeelZiggler join @GFWWrestling - just using him as an example of how subjective @WWE decisions can be. I do agree that #DolphZiggler is a terrible ring name. A couple years ago, I sent a very detailed e-mail to the powers that be with a suggestion of how he could get out of the name, and simultaneously garner some mainstream media attention...but never heard back from those in charge"
