How highly do you rate Zanetti?

How highly do you rate Javier Zanetti among best defender in all time considering he near his retirement, sadly   

am i correct, this zanetti got only 2 red cards in his entire career of 800+ matches?

& these red cards was considered by inter fan as a mistake

Of of the best RB's of all time definitely. He's the best one I've seen in this generation.

the first red card was in semi-final of Coppa Italia and it was incomprehensibile

We are playing a Coppa Italia semi-final against Parma (98-99) and that referee  (Braschi , current refereeing designator ... always hated) gave the red card for 3 interisti in a short time , and all 3 for protests !! Colonnese, Bergomi and Zanetti both  !! and of course we lost 0-2 after it

The other was in Serie A , recently, against Udinese, for double yelllow, the 2nd on Asamoah was deserved, while the 1st yellow was not probab ly correct .. but anyway more acceptable than against Parma

One of the best full-backs of all time and will go down as one of Inter's greatest captains. Hell he's one of the best athletes the game has ever seen as well. His fitness has been otherworldly for over a decade.

although his longevity and physicality is extremely amazing much respect for his personality and professionalism.

IIRC, Philipp Lahm didn't get a red so far in his career, and it is likely that he will keep that up, too. (He's already 30 after all)

As interista I can remember also Giacinto Facchetti got just a red card in career , and for protests .
Zanetti was really his heir . considering 2 red cards , 1 for protests in Coppa Italia and another for double yellow card in Serie A in 800+ matches, as said above

Respect to Zanetti, a true legend of the game.

They don't make them like Zanetti, Del Piero, Maldini anymore.
