Re: World Cup 14 Squads Discussion
Januzaj over Thorgan. Origi over Batshuayi *bleep* disgrace smh.
You guys are crazy if you didn't think Fellaini wasn't going to go to the WC. One poor season doesn't erase 3 consistent years in a row and his role in helping them qualify for the World Cup.

L'Equipe: Nasri/Abidal not expected to be in WC Squad. Dimitri Payet likely to be dropped. And it's Remy or Lacazette
Remy Vs Lacazette is interesting.

Re: World Cup 14 Squads Discussion
Garbage League that produced the likes of De Bruyne, Kompany, Bacca, Lukaku, Benteke, Witsel, Courtois etc who all excelled in their first year abroad.
STFU pls
He won the Belgian POTY and has 17 goals and 27 assists in all comps and excelled in the Europa League scoring 3 goals in the group stages.
This is a kid that's taken perennial bottom dwellers like Zulte to legitimate title contenders and single-handedly led them to their highest ever position (2nd) in his first season and has them contending yet again in his 2nd.

Are you saying what Thorgan has done this season is not phenomenal? Especially compared to Januzaj?
This is a strategic call up to make sure Januzaj does not jump ship to Albania or England.
Based on this season Thorgan has been the better player, more influential for their squad, and a nicer pick.
Thing is, Eden needs to be in th ear of Wilmots telling him what he thinks of this.

i'm saying that the belgian league is garbage and that januzaj's season in a top league , in a club with huge pressure and expectations, puts him ahead of hazard.
thing is , eden needs to STFU and try to channel some of his club form to help his national team . just a couple of years ago he was dropped from the starting 11 for being so useless , and is in no position to bitch and moan about anything.
this is actually the consensus among belgian football fans.

Naingollan's snub is the real disgrace. Should have been there over Steven fkin Defour. Agreed on Fellaini though.

Here are the reservist for france
Rémy Cabella
Maxime Gonalons
Alexandre Lacazette
Loïc Perrin
Stéphane Ruffier
Morgan Schneiderlin
Benoît Tremoulinas
@Gil, told you Nasri wouldnt be part of it. No one gets along with him in the NT, so he is out.

Re: World Cup 14 Squads Discussion
Why? No, i disagree, Mavuba is better than both fr my money, i compare mostly with gonalons because i dont know schnederlin much.
The line in France about Nasri is that he couldnt handle being a back up within the group. Unrealistic expectation of his value within the team, could have potentially created a bad atmosphere at the world cup

Re: World Cup 14 Squads Discussion
He gets in because he is more box to box than the guys you mentioned. He fits in a very specific profile while Cabella is an AM whose position is covered by Griezmann/Remy for a wide attacking role; and Mavuba back up at DM covers the need of schnederlin and gonalons.Great Leader Sprucenuce wrote:How did Sissoko get in lmao.

Re: World Cup 14 Squads Discussion
Schneiderlin is B2B tbh, he just happens to be tactically smart enough to be able to sit a little deeper when needed.
He makes very nice runs off the ball and some late runs into the box.
Sissoko just runs all day lol, maybe i'm deceived because Pardew is a moron but based on his performances for us i wouldn't take him tbh.
