Re: The Only One - Jose Mourinho
For the sake of Madrids already downhill reputation due to Mourinhos antics, why would Mourinho getting charged help Barcelona? I like him making a mockery of himself especially to Madrid's supporters but it is rather shameful, if all of this is true that is, which doesn't sound likely but not unbelievable.Nedved wrote:You mean for BarcelonaThe Sanchez wrote:Hope he gets charged for the sake for Madrid...

Re: The Only One - Jose Mourinho
Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has dismissed as a "lie" a newspaper report that claimed senior players at the club threatened to demand transfers if coach Jose Mourinho was not removed from his post at the end of the season.
Spanish sports daily Marca claimed on its front cover that the ultimatum had been issued by goalkeeper Iker Casillas and defender Sergio Ramos during a meeting with Perez earlier this week.
Perez this afternoon took the unusual step of responding directly to the speculation, branding the report an "attempt to destabilise the club" in a press conference convened at short notice at the Bernabeu.
"It's totally false that there was un ultimatum from the players," Perez said.
"I have not spoken to Mourinho. I don't normally come out to deny reports, but this was too important. This crossed an ethical line.
"I have only come here to deny a news story that has destabilised our club and the players.
"I understand some people want the coach or president out, but what has been published is a lie.
"We (the board) are the only ones that will decide the future of our club."
After winning La Liga at a canter last season, Mourinho has come under scrutiny this term after presiding over an indifferent run of results that has left the club trailing league leaders Barcelona by 15 points.
Reports of in-fighting between the outspoken coach, his playing staff and several club directors have never been far from the surface, while the Portuguese courted controversy recently by dropping talismanic club captain Casillas from successive league games.
There have been high points this season, with Madrid safely into the last 16 of the Champions League and into the semi-finals of the Copa del Rey after completing a 3-1 aggregate win over Valencia last night.
Speaking before Wednesday's match, Mourinho again conceded the title race was beyond Madrid and said the focus must now be on success in the cup competitions.
"The league title is impossible now - there is too big a gap," he told RMC Sport.
"We have to focus on other goals like the Copa del Rey and the Champions League."
Mourinho signed a contract extension to 2016 in the wake of Madrid's league triumph but he has continually been linked with a move away from the club, with a return to Chelsea or a move to Paris St Germain touted.

@ Donuts- Firstly I was talking to Sanchez - Barcelona fan. As a RM fan I think Barca would love to see him go because he has broken the domination of Barca (team regraded as all time best), which earlier managers couldn't do.
Secondly, It affects RM is your assumption and it is based on reporting by Marca/Daily - Everyone knows how respected they are. Some may not like his style/behaviour. Those things are secondary to winning, for a club which was n't winning much before. He brought belief to RM.

Re: The Only One - Jose Mourinho
Jose Mourinho will reach his 100th league match with Real Madrid against Rayo Vallecano. The Portuguese coach, who will reach this figure in a single competition for the second time in his career after doing so with Chelsea (120), is fourth in the list of the club’s coaches with the most wins in the league, and in reaching 75 wins last Saturday he went past Molowny. He only has Miguel Munoz (257), Beenhakker (89) and Forest (84) ahead of him in the record books.
Since his first match in charge in August 2010 against Mallorca at the Iberostar Stadium (0-0), Jose Mourinho has had 99 league matches with the Whites and this Sunday he will become the sixth coach in the club’s history to reach the hundred mark in the league. Real Madrid’s goal-scoring record with the Portuguese on the bench is impressive: 281 scored and 87 conceded.

Marca saying Mourinho isn't happy with Marcelo and Higuain because they're in bad shape.
Apparently Higuain had 4 days vacation and now Mourinho told him he has 3. Higuain isn't happy.

Schmelzer (BVB) "Mourinho is crazy, he approached me before & asked me to tell Ozil to move faster, I was surprised But i did what he want"
"What surprised me, Ozil didn't fiind it hard to believe it, he just got the message and gave the ok to his coach !"

Re: The Only One - Jose Mourinho
Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho is to get a street in home city Setubal named after him in honour of his sporting achievements.
Mourinho, the 50-year-old self-styled 'Special One', is arguably the most successful ever Portuguese coach.
He has won league titles in four different countries with Porto, Chelsea, Inter Milan and Real Madrid, and has led teams to two Champions League trophies.
The Setubal town hall said in a statement it had made the decision because of Mourinho's "extraordinary role in international sport".
"He is, in all fairness, one of the coaches in the world with the most prestige and qualification."
The exact street or avenue has not yet been chosen but the town hall's general assembly voted unanimously to approve the naming.
Setubal, located just south-east of Lisbon across the Tagus, is a former industrial hub that has become one of Portugal's most impoverished and unemployment-stricken cities.

Anyone else actually going to miss Mourinho? I know he wasn't exactly likable, however the fact that he stayed for 3 years (not common) and he was really controversial. Just got used to him.
