How would Roma play 3-5-2? Their FBs are terrible, they don't have enough good CBs and while they could probably retain their midfield intact they would struggle to find a good strike parternship (Totti - Ljajic/Iturbe?).

@Mole

As our resident Newcastle afficionado, I wonder whether you heard anything about Newcastle being interested in Lucien Favre? Some guy in a Gladbach forum heard such a rumour on a sports radio station in the UK, he said, and he asked if there is a confirmation. And as you know your way around Newcastle, I thought if someone knows anything, then it should be you. Favre does speak French of course, so he would fit with the Château Neuf theme...

Would be a step down for him though, no? Favre should rather wait until Pep or Wenger leave...

We are interested or apparently according to our local media. But I don't see why he would want to come to us when Gladbach is a better situation in pretty much every way.

Thanks, Mole.

And yeah, I think he fits perfectly with Gladbach, and I hope he'll stay there for a while longer!

Let's see - within the last 10 or so days the Bundesliga had....

HSV: Peter Knäbel back to DoS, Bruno Labbadia in as coach
Dortmund: Jürgen Klopp out, Thomas Tuchel (for Summer 2015)
Bayern: Complete medical department of Dr.Müller-Wohlfahrt out
Hannover: Tayfun Korkut out, Michael Frontzeck in

Not bad for not quite two weeks ^^

Paolo Sousa still has a contract till 2017, so Basel will likely ask a nice transfer fee for him. In a recent Blick.ch interview, he nicely evaded all statements whether he will still be at Basel in the next season. ("I have a contract that still runs 2 years and currently I concentrate on reaching the goals for this season.")

Young ambitious manager who has done wonders at Guingamp. Beat PSG this season too. For a club that small, he has done good enough to earn a bigger move elsewhere.

But he'll probably leave when he works with Ashley for a bit.

Seeing his contract situation and his three magnificent seasons at Vallecas, Newcastle are one of the premier league teams most decided to bet on Paco. The magpies want to rejuvenate the greatness lost in these past times and, above all, recover their lost indentity, built around exciting football.
In fact, John Carver, a local man that got the reigns of the team after the sacking (sic) of Alan Pardew, hasn't worked as intended, going through a seven game losing streak that give him no chance of remaining in charge. Paco's style is the choice to bring back exciting football to Saint James' Park.
