I'm telling you... if Madrid lose to Atleti in a poor manner in the CL Final, Carlo is gone. He won't survive.

Art Morte wrote:So what do people who have followed Zidane more think: Is he interested in moving to management or quite happy to stay in his relatively easy and less-pressure job as Madrid's assistant coach / sporting director? I'm just thinking that if he wanted to move to management, wouldn't he have done it already?
He's already said he wants to be a coach.  He was already a director at Madrid for 2 years and he didn't like it...  He went to grad school in France to get his coaching license and he got it this past year. He didn't want to get into management until he felt ready. So he got the formal schooling + he observed Carlo for a year. That's how Zidane is... he doesn't cut corners. He puts in the work before taking the plunge. Even as a player, he was the hardest worker on the team both during the season and in the off season. Very professional guy.

Conte is allegedly clashing with the directors over transfer targets/budget size. So I doubt at this stage in his career he wants to leave club level all together and manage a National team through a period of qualifiers.

Maybe it'd be tempting a year or so before a World Cup, but now? Nah.

According Gazzetta dello Sport (Laudisa's tweet now ) there is optimism by Juve to keep Conte. The mediation is working.

I repeat my idea : Conte did all this so as to " put pressure" to Juve management for a good market, but never real possibilities to leave Juve with no intriguing opportunities on market for him ( United-Van Gaal, Monaco -Jarmin , PSG - Blanc etc)

Yeah a lot of people think that now

The fans are going mad over it publicly and Conte probably anticipated that.

No better way to pressure a board than having the masses of fans backing you up.

If he criticised the Directors privately, he would be made out to be the bad guy. But doing it publicly and having the fans backing can help him greatly.

I just hope we invest properly this Summer rather than wait another year for our new sponsors to kick in. Nothing ridiculous, just somebody like Sanchez, a few proper bench upgrades who are also at a decent age, a Left back and somebody like Nani to top it all off

http://www.laprovence.com/actu/om-en-direct/2880211/om-la-premiere-seance-de-bielsa-avec-les-jeunes.html

It's interesting.  Bielsa and his staff are also taking over the training of all the top youth prospects of OM.  The summer training under Bielsa for these kids starts next Wednesday or Thursday (CFA2, U19 and U17) where he is looking to ascertain the potential of the kids.  One of his assistants, Diego Reyes, is already at his post in Marseille setting everything up and Bielsa is expected to officially take over on Monday.

He's completely revamping all of OM.... taking over all levels of the club and setting up his own method of youth development and training.

Murat Yakin leaves FC Basel 1893 despite winning the Swiss Super League and having a contract till 2015. "Basel and Murat Yakin mutually agreed in friendly and open talks to terminate their contract", one can read at fcb.ch.

Well, there is no statement yet as to where Murat Yakin might go. His contract is officially dissolved, so he can go wherever he wants. I read some faint rumour connecting him with Eintracht Frankfurt, but that was a while ago and before he was fired.

Similarly, there is no idea yet who will follow him at Basel.

http://www.spacefoot.com/france/ligue-1/girondins-de-bordeaux/bordeaux-zidane-se-rapproche-un-peu-plus-des-girondins-44006

The Bordeaux deal is getting closer for Zidane. In order to create funds for the club, Zidane has asked his good friend, Frank Riboud president of Danone, to sign a big marketing deal with the club. The money from that partnership would be used solely to sign players. We're talking 60 mil euros a year according to rumors.

Getting close.

Given the likely departure of Zizou, Galliani has heavily hinted that current Milan assistant-manager will re-unite with Carlo Ancelotti at Real Madrid.

That, would be a fantastic move for Madrid.
