Look at the bigger picture guys. First of all since the cause of death was poisoning, it obviously was an inside job. So this brings up a single question; Who paid and organised the wedding ? Answer: Olenna Tyrell.

and also the title of the episode pretty much gives it away, " The Lion and the Rose"

Sigil of House Lannister = Lion.
Sigil of House Tyrell = Rose.

Her motives ? I'm not sure yet.

Stannis casts the leeches into the flames while stating the names of the "three false kings:" Balon Greyjoy, Robb Stark, and Joffrey Baratheon. Two are gone.

Did the leeches work or were the deaths already going to happen anyways? I mean ok that Robb's death was by the work of Lannisters and you can ignore the magic but it's two deaths now after Melisandre's magic thing.

Excellently done episode, just as was done with the Red Wedding and Dany's legendary Astapoor scene. Amazing stuff truly.

Since Cersei reassumes power, I'm not so sure it was the Tyrrells as that is not in their best interest. The only way I could see this is if Margaery planned to marry Tommen. As if Cersei would let that happen though Laughing

Tyrion, by virtue of being the most likely one to have done it....didn't do it. I think that's pretty much clear as day.

As someone said before though.....the beauty of this episode as it could've been literally anyone. Some really interesting times ahead.

The timing of this episode couldn't have been any better.

Since Margaery and Joffrey hadn't consummated their marriage wouldn't their union be voided and power goes back to Cersei? That's why I don't think any of the Tyrells did it. If they wanted the king dead, they would have waited a bit. That's why I'm liking the Cersei as the killer theory.
